Perfect getaway
Pros:

Spent a lovely night at this wonderful hotel. Everything from the welcoming and friendly staff, the very well appointed room and the manicured grounds was perfect.
Had a fantastic dinner as well in the restaurant - well worth it!

A most memorable place
Pros:

A beautiful and calming location, elegant accomodation, with first class food and service. Tasting menus were outstanding wirh amazing selection of Kiwi wines. Would highly recommend!

Very good experience at higher end of market. Doesn't seem to be as well known as it should be.
Pros:

Breakfasts great. Service from staff in all aspects excellent - as good as experienced anywhere.

Cons:

Bathroom - shower over bath not ideal and problematic sink - both not ideal at this level of property.
Some facilities (e.g. spa pool) limited availability at weekends it seemed - don't know why.

Perfect stay!
Pros:

A fabulous spot in a delightful area, excellent staff and a desire to look after guests that is exceptionally rare. From the moment we arrived, very late thanks to issues with the ferry, nothing was too much trouble.

A Jewel In Hawke’s Bay.
Pros:

THE place to stay in Hawke’s Bay. A beautiful old house with a long driveway leading to it, surrounded by gardens, fields and a pool/spa. The rooms are spacious and elegantly decorated. The food was delicious with superb service, however the things that made it extra special were the attention to detail and the friendliness of the staff. We will definitely come again.

Just stay here…! You won’t regret it.
Pros:

Wonderful property, full of history, great grounds, immaculate room, marvellous 5 course dinner and wines. So happy I stayed here!

Cons:

Being very picky…. The small shower head didn’t live up to the standards set across the hotel.

Wonderful stay at Mangpapa homestead
Pros:

The homestead feel and the grounds were fantastic, the trees were beautiful… and our host Hitomi was exceptional, always looking to understand and accomodate our needs. The staff were wonderful. The degustation diner is outstanding, in fact all of the food was fantastic.

Cons:

The coffee! The spa / gym area needs some work.

A very special place in Hawkes Bay.
Pros:

While in Hawkes Bay for a family wedding my husband and I chose to stay at Mangapapa Lodge. Its a beautiful property, set in peaceful surroundings, the rooms are quiet luxury. Bathroom amenities, fabulous coffee from Hawthorne Roasters and fresh baked chocolate chip cookie's just a couple of little treats that add to your enjoyment. This is an elegant place and the service from the staff is next level. The dinner we ate at the Lodge was very good. No detail is overlooked. I would recommend Mangapapa Lodge for a special occasion stay or just to spoil yourself. 5 stars from me.

Excellent Hotel in Hawke's Bay
Pros:

Great experience at this property. Hitomi, the property manager seemed to always be present and very supportive and helpful during our stay. The staff overall were friendly and responsive and the breakfasts were delicious. We also had dinner one night in their restaurant and it was exceptional. Our room (Orchard) was spotless, comfortable and well-equipped. Very solid choice in the Havelock North area and I'm so glad we chose this property over the Rosewood.
