The location is great
I would definitely not pay what they charge for room in the summer months. You now have to pay for the use of external spa facilities- sauna and jacuzzi. Just not worth the money.
Staff were amazing and so welcoming.
We’ve stayed in a number of hotels but can honestly say have never encountered such friendly and helpful staff. The place with its stunning location, could use a little upgrading eg new lockers in the changing rooms, some carpets a bit worn but it was scrupulously clean and the staff, managed Niall and his team, meant the failings in the fabric of the building were of no consequence.
We travelled with our dog Taggart and I think it was the best hotel stay he’s ever had with all the staff petting and making a fuss of him. Nothing was too much trouble for these guys and we will definitely be back!
Some physical aspects could do with upgrading
The spa facilities were exceptional. The big windows looking out at Loch Fyne from the hot tub created a very memorable experience. We walked from the hotel to tour Inverary Castle. The breakfast was quite good and we found all of the staff to be very fun to chat with. I would definitely plan to come back and stay here again.
Nothing.
Hotel was on route for our road trip, the spa was enjoyable and restaurant was providing good food. Location being on the loch was pleasant.
Parts of the hotel are looking tired and in need of some TLC, my particular bathroom had a shaving mirror that couldn’t hold in place due to the hinge being worn out, for someone who relies on a good magnifying mirror for putting in contact lenses this was a disappointment. Windows showing signs of mould and a lick of paint in places wouldn’t go a miss.
Location and clean
Noises cupboard next door sounded like tumble dryer on all night so never slept well
Overpriced as its in a good area
