Lovely staff/ well equipped room spoilt by no window & stingy almost non-existent breakfast "buffet"
Pros:

Friendly staff. Nice cold cider in bar.

Cons:

No window in room. Weird opaque perspex screen over where window was so nothing at all visible and no air. Felt like being in a cupboard. Quite warm - air con not very effective. BBC1 on tv had no sound so was unwatchable.
Included "buffet" breakfast was most basic I've ever seen in a hotel. Four cereals - that was it. Tea/ coffee/ milk urns not labeled, so had to try them out to see what was in them. You could order one thing and a juice from a menu. Would much rather have had the choice to have a variety of small portions of things. Ordered fruit salad with coconut yoghurt. Massive pile of yoghurt which was plain - not coconut, hiding fruit underneath- much of which was a bit past it's best and turning brown - is that why it was covered in yoghurt?? All very strange - never seen anything quite like it.

Pros:

The location was just few minutes walk from most of the tourist attractions, train stations and bus stop in Canterbury.
The room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Staff was nice.

Cons:

The free breakfast was decent bread, cereals and porridge. But if you want to have cooked breakfast you need to pay extra.

Good location., hence the high price.
Pros:

The hotel was chosen for its location - central for everything.

Cons:

Breakfast was included in the price paid. It was simple - fruit juice, granola & fruit yoghurt and tea/coffee. Ok for me but some might find it disappointing. No onsite parking - had to pay to park nearby. The room was described as a superior double room. It wasn't special or obviously superior. It was a cold day, the room was chilly and the aircon only blew out cold air.

Very disappointing. when we decided to leave a day early were unable to cancel because we had booked via yourselves. The
Pros:

The situation in relationship to the town.

Cons:

Despite booking a superior room it was very small with hardly any drawers and shelves. The shower was part of the bath and difficult to enter or leave. The bed was comfortable however.
The breakfast was diabolical with very little choice, inedible toast with very little butter and only jam which was very runny. There was little choice of cereal. It was possibly the worst breakfast we have ever experienced at any hotel. Last week we stayed at The Holiday Inn in Bournemouth which was excellent in every way and much could be learned by Abode from them. The Holiday Inn was also much cheaper.

Well located hotel. Breakfast was ok.
Pros:

Centrally located. Friendly staff.

Cons:

Breakfast was included in the price but found out whilst ordering breakfast that this was only for continental breakfast and had to pay extra for cooked breakfast. Not made clear when booking.

I left my phone charger and lead in the room by my bed but when I phoned up to ask whether house keeping had picked it up they said they “ couldn’t find it “ 🤔

Good but I wouldn’t book breakfast again it’s a huge con.
Pros:

Location

Cons:

The included breakfast on booking does not make it clear that this is a continental breakfast only. When booking breakfast the standard expectation is that you will have the choice of continental or cooked. It feels that the hotel are money grabbing.

Pros:

Friendly helpful receptionists
Great location in city centre
Pleasant bedroom

Cons:

Breakfast is odd..you can only have toast (within the continental breakfast menu) if you order a croissant. Otherwise no toast!! They also ration fruit juice to one glass ( you can pay for a second glass!)
