Great location, friendly staff, comfy room and parking a big plus.

Lack of transparency when it comes to breakfast ONLY when sitting down is it explained that breakfast is simply “ continental “ and over and above that ie full english is at an extra cost . People around us were not happy either. So when booking a room it should state this … not happy 😡

Didn't get get breakfast even though it was in the price, 30 mins after taking the order of juices, toast and yoghurt it still didn't arrive people who ordered after us were getting their breakfast. Odd way of breakfast and for hot breakfast you pay more.

Couldn't park, was full, apparently often full on Saturday's. Plus if did park its £25 which i find excessive for guest parking. No facilities like gym, pool, spa etc.

The hotel needs some updating, fixing up and a really good clean! The actual hotel is lovely just seems to have been left to get tatty, such a shame as it has so much potential!

Difficult to get a taxi
Its location and the charming reception staff. It’s a very well appointed hotel, cleverly decorated and has secure parking, behind the hotel.
Location was fantastic
Stay once before with friends and it was a 'lukewarm' experience but giving the hotel the benefit of the doubt we booked again. Room had a horrible smell and so we were relocated (lady was friendly who relocated us). New room was stuffy and smelt damp, but didn't report back as we needed to leave for our evening so couldn't relocate again. Hotel is old and needs investment. Bar didn't have much in terms of options when we came for a nightcap. When we checked out, I was asked to pay the bill. I paid on check-in but administration had not completed our booking correctly - had it not myself checking out, my husband may have paid again!!
We went with friends and their experience was terrible too, bed quality was poor (couldn't sleep for the dip in mattress). They booked the breakfast (we did not), but heard that the service was appalling, they ended up leaving without receiving what they requested, lack of option - NOT good.

The location was excellent. The front of house staff were attentive and helpful. The bar is a nice area to chill in the evening and the cocktails were well made. The room was a decent size and the bed was comfortable.
The shower - you would be wading in water in the bath tub as it did not drain quick enough. The shower head was leaking everywhere, so you had to lean into the wall to get under the main jet which was reduced to a trickle. Quite uncomfortable and precarious for showering under.
