Location and the large room
They charged £13 for parking and £10 extra for an additional two hours for a late check out. You should have mentioned parking will be charged.
Swimming pool still not open, did receive notice that it wasn’t going to be though.
We loved our room, the staff were really friendly and helpful. The rib restaurant was good, the lobby was well seated and the cocktails were also good.
Apart from the lack of sheer curtains on the bedroom windows the room itself was beautiful but we could see directly into other people's rooms as they could ours.
The lack of control over children running riot around the reception area, trying to play the piano was very annoying when guests were trying to enjoy a drink and chill after a long journey to get there. One last thing maybe bring your check in time forward by a couple of hours.
Staff were very friendly, and the breakfast buffet was very good although as we only had cereal and juice the £18 per head was not personally good value.
Firstly it is dishonest to advertise a price for a hotel and exclude the fact that one must pay an additional £13.50 for parking. The bed was very uncomfortable, mattress felt like cardboard and the duvet was too thin. Single wall heater was inadequate and should have had accompanying instructions for use, in fact there were no instructions nor information pack. Bottom of bathroom door was gnarled. The restaurant was ok but as it is a Smokehouse and Grill the menu is very specific and therefore limited.
It was a beautiful hotel lovely and clean , the beds were comfortable room was amazing lovely and spacious.
The only thing was because the pool was closed for refurb. As the only reason we choose this hotel to take my little girl for a swim . We didnt know it was closed until we arrived .
We were told we could use dylans pool up the road , so we booked it and waited for 2 hours as that was the only time it was free. Then we were told different directions we couldnt find dylans pool , driving around for 45 minutes , when we finally found it , we only had 15 minutes left to use the pool until we had to get out . This caused my little girl to be upset and was so stressful, we just wanted to go home , what was meant to be a nice family night away turned out to be a disaster.
Although I would still book your hotel again next time due to proximity and value, I think people with limited walking ability should know there is a significant hill between Coldra Court and the Celtic manor reception!
Watch out for the parking charge of £13.50. Hidden in the very small print! Not as comparable to others in the area as I first thought.
Was clean, big spacious room, lovely staff so we was well pleased
Only downfall was the outside view .. all we had was mud and bushes to look at
