Had my belongings stolen in the hotel lobby
Pros:

Stayed at the hotel for 2 nights, the neighbourhood is dodgy and didn’t make me and my family feel safe at all, rooms are average and definitely overpriced for what they offer, but what made my experience terrible was having my handbag stolen in the hotel lobby in the middle of the day, while retrieving the luggage I stored there for the day.
My handbag was stolen by an individual who entered the lobby without being noticed, let alone challenged, by the receptionist sitting at the front desk, and left by the fire exit that wasn’t even alarmed.

When I noticed my bag was gone, little to no support was offered me by the receptionist, I had to ask them more than once to check the CCTV for me, which they eventually did. In a situation of panic and distress I felt completely left alone by the hotel staff, and a brief email exchange with the hotel Manager the next day, made me understand they consider what happened to me and the fact that a thief entered the premises in the middle of the day, normal because the lobby is “a public space” and there’s nothing they could do to make their guests feel safe.
I consider an hotel a safe space, where one should be able to feel protected, relaxed and at home but Novotel failed on all accounts and didn’t even try to make the situation better. Of course no compensation has been offered, but not even a glass of water when I was in distress. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

Good balance between costs and quality.
Pros:

The staff is very friendly. Mariana from the reception is very kind.

Cons:

The cleanliness was not adequate to the Novotel standard. I and my family relly like to stay at Novotel, because it one of the best hotel brands in Europe. However, this unit did not look to be so clean as other units. There ar also few restaurants and cafes around the hotel and most part of stores are closed on weekends.

Excellent price-quality ratio. Fantastic breakfast.
Pros:

The hotel is well located and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing, with plenty of choices and very well stocked up. The staff were friendly, especially the staff at breakfast. The beds were comfy and you couldn't hear noises from other rooms.

Cons:

The room was on the small side for 4 people, but it is still workable. The toilet could do with a fan.
