Did not like the way we had to get in. Lighting in the room was very very poor. Furniture was lacking No desk with chair.
Interior design and pleasant atmosphere , good size room, comfortable
Bed and cool furnitures
Areas that had already been renovated were nice
Hotel was under renovation and some areas were not accessible ie game room
Location
Staff not readily available. No amenities. Poorly decorated rooms. No dresser in rooms.
The rooms were clean and modern. The hotel was quiet.
Window coverings did not block enough light. There was minimal contact with staff. There are no amenities outside of the room itself.
Location was great for us. There was no breakfast.
Room was very dark. The decor colors are a bit dark . They look nice , but on top of that there is very little lighting ,making it seem very dark. If you like to read in your room bring a book light.
Location was very close to Sunapee
Decent restaurant next door although they are not affiliated in any way nor do I think they would want to be.
We had a comfortable night at the hotel. The check in was very weird. No receptionist. It felt like we were traspassing in a defunct hotel. Not one staff person inside. Some guest room doors were propped open as was the pool exit door with a rock. The cleanliness, smell of the room and some areas of the hotel was less than ideal. One pillowcase had black hair coating the seams and the bed sheets had short dark thick coarse hairs. FYI I have short blonde hair and my husband gray. Very off putting. The rug also needed vacuuming. The icing on the cake was when I turned on the shower. The force of the water spraying on the bath mat released gobs of very long black hair. Really disgusting and gross!
The hallways and especially the stairs were dirty and needed a good cleaning as well. It's unfortunate as the common areas look inviting and the pool area did as well. The location is great and very close to Sunapee. The cost of 150+ for this hotel was adequate. When I called to add another prior to our stay, the cost had increased to almost $500. This place in need of management and a deep clean is absolutely not worth $500.
It saw that this hotel has been bought. I hope the new company does a better job! It needs serious help.
Nobody at reception. Carton Boxes everywhere.
Nobody here, no staff
The rooms were ok. I really did not like how there was no staff at all. If you had any questions or concerns you had to call a number at a call center and they would relay your issues to the property. We got locked out of our room and if the nice housekeeper was not there, who knows how long it would have taken to get in contact with someone to help us. Also, for the price of thses rooms, some sort of continental breakfast would have been nice. This is a rural area with no options for coffee or breakfast nearby. Honestly, i would not stay here again and we actually left a night early to come home because the beds were not very comfy either.
The entire weekend no one was present at the property to help. The code locks were malfunctioning constantly for me and for other guests and we had no one to talk to either at the hotel or on the phone. Ridiculous, none of us really felt safe since the locks were sketchy at best
Walked in with only 1 cleaning lady
Lovely hotel in a great location friendly staff
I've been coming to this hotel to visit friends in the area for a few years and have always had a good stay, but recently it has come under new ownership. This review is for the new owners.
I walked into this hotel I used to love and saw the there was now a tablet instead of front desk staff. There was a man in front of me who was trying to check in and he was unsuccessful and was calling for assistance. When I tried to check in it said that i did not have a reservation and I had to call a phone number for assitance and was put on hold immediately. Mind you, this is not late night, I am there at 3:45 pm! I finally get ahold of someone and get a room number and pin and told to fill out paperwork online to complete the check in process.
I get to the room to try to unload my luggage and the key pad door code won't work and just stops lighting up all together essentially locking me out! A kind housekeeper was down the hall and was having issues with the door too. We waited about 10 minutes for the keypad to start working and she put in her code to reset it.
Same issue trying to checkout too! The damn tablet is a piece of junk and I feel so bad for the housekeepers. The poor housekeepers had to deal with a loud beeping alarm ise that they had no idea how to handle and had to figure out while they were left alone!
Another point is, this place needs front desk staff to provide security for the tenents and housekeeping staff. Anyone can walk in this place there is no security!
Overall great hotel. Love the digital first check in and check out. Only downside are the thin walls.
It was in a great location! I came up to see Colby Sawyer College for my son’s graduation.
I like the cabin feel and the cool wall decor!
The pool was closed when I got there and I really needed it for my body from the traveling.
It would have been nice to have a ice machine on your floor. I have an invisible illness and require handicap access (the long walk hurt)!
No one was there! No front desk person, staff of any kind. Maybe some people like that experience, but I hated it. Please promote this to customers in the future.
