I stayed at the Avalon Hotel Beverly Hills for a business trip and had a fantastic experience.
My room was in the Beverly Building, directly across the street from the main hotel, and I actually loved being over there. It was incredibly quiet and almost felt like staying in your own private residence rather than a hotel. The room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, and the shower and amenities were excellent.
The restaurant was wonderful as well. My only small piece of feedback would be that I wish breakfast opened at 6:00 AM instead of 7:00 AM, especially for business travelers with early mornings.
The gym isn’t huge, but they’ve done a really smart job with the space. Everything felt new and high quality, including a beautiful Peloton treadmill, another treadmill, rowing machine, and everything you really need for a good workout.
The staff was excellent throughout my stay, and the Beverly Hills location is hard to beat.
Overall, an easy five-star stay. I was here for business, but I would absolutely come back for leisure — and next time hopefully have enough time to actually relax by the pool.
Highly recommend the Avalon for anyone staying in Beverly Hills.
Bien situé
Et côté intimiste autour de la piscine
Accès aux chambres un peu vieillot
I loved this little gem of a hotel. It's in a quiet part of Beverly Hills. I really enjoyed the smallness of the hotel. It made it feel more personal. It was not part of a large facility which was a plus for me. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. I didn't use the pool but it looked very inviting. I loved being able to sit out in the pool area and enjoy breakfast. My room was lovely. I had a suite with a king size bed and sofa bed. It also included a small kitchen area. I was across the street in the other building which at first concerned me. However, it was not a busy street and easy to cross. I was here to visit my son who lives nearby. It was easy for him to park on the side street (Canon). Also easy to pick me up or drop me off. He didn't have to hassle with valet parking like he would have at a larger property. I will definitely stay here again when I visit my son again.

Clean and safe stay in Los Angeles. Waking distance from rodeo drive and the lifts were cheap around the city.
No complaints
The pool and restaurant are the centerpiece. It’s happening there without feeling too crowded or wild - just please and destitute
Overall the hotel atmosphere was awesome. People were super nice. The room was cleaned and fill every day with free water. Vivian restaurant is to be recommended.
Not that I didn't like but, some rooms will need refreshment quite soon.
We have stayed here many times over the last 6 years, great spot to land in LA, walkable to local restaurants and shops in Beverly Hills. The staff is great. We enjoy staying here.
I think the parking is too high, a lot of hotels have switched over to pay parking and they continue to raise those rates, it's unfortunate.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I have ever had.
I booked Avalon based on the photos and description online. For nearly $500 per night, I expected the beautiful boutique hotel that was advertised. Instead, after check-in, we were taken to a completely separate building across the street that looked nothing like the property shown in the photos. It felt more like an old apartment building converted into a motel.
The room contained little more than a bed, a nightstand, and a TV. It was completely different from what had been advertised.
We immediately returned to the front desk and refused to stay. We left and booked another hotel that same night. When I requested a refund, I was denied. As a result, we lost $500 for a room we never even stayed in.
Afterward, I found numerous guest complaints describing experiences similar to ours. What surprised me even more was seeing negative reviews followed by dozens of perfect 10/10 ratings, which raises serious questions.
This experience felt misleading from start to finish. Guests should receive the hotel they were shown and paid for, not a completely different building across the street.
What is especially disappointing is that these complaints are clearly not new, yet nothing seems to change. The hotel appears fully aware of these recurring issues but makes no meaningful effort to resolve them or accommodate affected guests.
Such a great hotel! Very fun!
Amazing staff!

I chose this hotel, shockingly, not because I was aiming for a Beverly Hills location but more so proximity to the client, I was there to visit. This hotel was the nearest and, alas, I landed here.
Work trips are not the same as personal trips so I could not relax and enjoy as much as I would on my own time, but I am forcing myself to write a review (don't usually) because I really want to highlight that the service at this hotel is outstanding. I was in and out all day, all hours, and every single staff member was SO welcoming, so warm, so pleasant and helpful. I feel like service has really lagged worldwide in the last few years and I absolutely noticed the difference here.
I don't know if the Avalon is just hiring well or training well or, as I suspect, a blend of both: But this is an a-class team and I really appreciated it.
Also: the hotel is great. I wished I could have hung at the pool beyond a quick bite but that whole space was great, my room was immaculate and MCM vibes with a pretty patio, and the neighborhood felt safe.
Hoping to come back on my own time. Thanks, Avalon.
Cool little boutique hotel in great location. Lovely friendly feel and great inner courtyard pool / bar area.
The room was not like the picture, one day our room eas not cleaned
