Evening meal
Pros:

Had a great meal in the Main restaurant and our waiter Matthew was fantastic, very good knowledge of the food and the wine.
Very customer service orientated server and was glad to have him as nothing was too much trouble.
Really enjoyable meal.

Terrible comment by bar staff
Pros:

In the bar, I ordered 2 drinks. My wife took a couple of slurps from her half Aspel cider. She noticed a small item in her drink. It was difficult to see. I took the drink back to the bar and asked the lass to note it. She could not see it and said , “ not that I’m calling you a liar” Moments later she saw it. I had to ask her to replace the drink that she should have offered immediately. Do you want to be someone she suggests is a liar??? The attitude was rubbish.

Excellent weekend with friends golfing.
Pros:

We spent an excellent weekend with friends golfing at Slaley Hall Golf and Spa resort. All of the staff were friendly and polite especially Ethan, who served us dinner in the bar. He made us up a table for 6 and couldn’t have been more helpful. We would definitely recommend a stay here with friends.

Fantastic golf break weekend, ate in the the Tommy Craig bar and Ethan was phenomenal, very attentive, very helpful and ensured we all were looked after will definitely be back

Excellent Stay
Pros:

Lovely stay at Slaley Hall, the rooms are well presented, beautiful grounds and all the bars and restaurants are great. The food at Hadrian’s Brasserie was particularly good, and our waiter Matthew was excellent.

A disappointing experience
Pros:

Very poor all round. Rooms in need of redecoration. Breakfast was appalling, chaotic poor food. Coffee machines mostly broken.

Pros:

Great location and setting. Dinner and breakfast was good and enjoyable. It was noticeable that the staff were trying there best although they seemed on the young side and not hugely experienced. We had an issue with lunch when we arrived but it was addressed when we checked out the next day.

Amazing hospitality at Slaley Hall

Myself and 2 friends dined at Slaley Hall last week and could not fault the service, especially from Max. He could not be more friendly, professional and hospitable towards us. The food was divine also. We shall be back!
