Excelente ubicación, reservé una habitación pero me dieron otra totalmente diferente y no me gusto.
Cons:

NO limpiaron la habitación porque el personal estaba en huelga, el hotel debió haber previsto eso o en todo caso hacer un descuento porque el precio por el cual pague era habitación CON LIMPIEZA y NO limpiaron la habitación en los 3 días. Adicionalmente reservé una habitación y me dieron otra totalmente diferente, me explicaron que me habían dado una mejor pero a mi no me pareció, en todo caso no me gusto, esperaba la habitación que había reservado según las Fotos. Llegar al Gimnasio es realmente complicado.

A two night break in Oslo. Karl Johan hotel proved to be a very good choice. Definite recommend.

While the room rates are quite expensive our experience at this hotel was a very good one. We would recommend this hotel

The location was perfect! The breakfast was very good. It could use with a little more variety throughout the week. The lounge/bar area was very nice. We enjoyed playing card/games out on the balcony overlooking the park. Again, very nice hotel in a great location.

Cons:

We tried to reset the thermostat and it would work for a bit but in the night it got a little warm. Plus, they only use duvets and those tend to be hot. Since the hotel had reduced staffing we didn’t realize you had to request the room be serviced. But when we asked for towels we received them right away. Just a minor issue.

Schönes und zentral gelegenes Hotel in höchstem Preissequement

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Cons:

Das Hotel liegt inmitten der Fußgängerzone und in Nachbarschaft zum Parlament und Nationaltheater. Die Preise bewegen sich auf höchstem Niveau ( 2 Nächte im Doppelzimmer für 730,-€, was nicht den gebotenen Leistungen entspricht. Zum einen gibt es keine tägliche Zimmerreinigung (nur auf ausdrücklichen Wunsch), die Fenster lassen sich grundsätzlich nicht weit öffnen (da verschlossen), die Steckdosen im Zimmer funktionieren nur, wenn die Lichter eingeschaltet sind und im Fernsehen gibt es nur Programme in norwegischer Sprache.

Nachtruhe gibt es hier keine, die Poser-Szene (auch Autoposer- oder Tuner-Szene) ist jede Nacht aktiv, ohne dass von Seiten der Polizei eingeschritten wird.Darunter versteht man meist junge Autofahrer, die mit getunten oder hochmotorisierten Fahrzeugen in Innenstädten auffallen wollen. Das Imponiergehabe, bei dem es um Status, Lärm und Aufmerksamkeit geht, führt oft zu massiven Belästigungen und gefährlichen Situationen.

Das Frühstücksbuffet hat sich im Vergleich zum letzten Jahr etwas verschlechtert, der ingwershot ist aus dem Angebot verschwunden, auch gibt es Honig nur in einer minderwertigen Qualität aus einem Plastikgefäß. Frühstück wird am Wochenende erst ab 07:30 Uhr angeboten, möchte man beispielsweise um 08:25 Uhr mit der Bergenbahn nach Bergen reisen, muss man weitgehend auf das Frühstück verzichten.
