The location right on the marina is fabulous. The outdoor restaurant serves excellent food with a view. The rooms are comfortable and the TV and WiFi worked well.
The room AC is old fashioned units mounted in the outside wall. The LED display was broken so the unit came on and off all night.
Nice to have a restaurant on the premises, was close to family event we were attending.
Our room was on the "city" side and we could hear the traffic going by which at times was a little noisy.
Excellent staff for hotel & restaurant
l’emplacement de l’hôtel était pratique. Proche de toutes les activités prévues. la chambre était spacieuse.
La salle de bain était "petite" pour 4 personnes et peu pratique (eau chaude/eau froide). Une des bouteilles d'eau présentée gratuite dans la chambre (étiquette accrochée à la bouteille) nous a été quand même facturée.
We were here last year and booked again mostly due to the perfect location.
The restaurant is under new management and unfortunately the service for breakfast was very slow. My understanding is that it is a different owner than the hotel.
The Jamaica Bay Inn staff are all top notch-from Manager to the person greeting you at the parking lot. The interior is clean, aesthetically very nice and welcoming, and the view of the marina and location make it feel like a getaway no matter your reason for being there!
If I could give this place ten stars, I would! We changed hotels sort of at the last minute because they had the most lenient cancellation policy and we were dealing with the federal shutdown (i.e. airline going to get us there?). Christina at the front desk was amazing and professional. But Mauro (?) in the bar/restaurant was head of the class! Great service and conversation. And kudos to whomever in the kitchen made the homemade bleu cheese dressing to go with my awesome wings. Our room was so comfortable and large that I believe I could actually live in it. Newly updated and so clean. We must have been upgraded because our room (complete with a full balcony w/ chairs and a side table) faced the marina and was delightful at night with lights across the water. We have been traveling for 45 years and this is one of our favorite hotels ever.
1) a hefty $52 parking fee appeared out of the blue. Robbery. The lady at the front desk was very uncompromising and unpleasant about it.
2) upon arrival, the front desk lady told us the pool was closed because “under renovation”. We didn’t see anybody working on the pool. It is most likely the pool had a problem and it was not disclosed to the guests before arrival.
Very rude staff at the check in! My husband arrived tot he hotel first, and they didn’t want to check him in despite he had all my information, including passport photo, reservation and payment confirmation, my email address etc. in addition, a the moment of booking, I sent a message to the hotel saying that I’ll be staying with my husband and this stay is our part of honey moon trip. The staff were very rude and unhelpful to him! It took them almost an hour before he was aloud to check in! Also they said, that if the reservation was made through them directly and not through the booking.com, they would have been more helpful! What a bad service!

Great location. Walking distance to Venice beach and a lot of excellent restaurants. Staff was fun and helpful.
Parking charges nonsense it’s not great hotel rather pay parking for premium hotels that merit investment such fees should be paid by hotel owners
