Great location, lovely hotel. Marta on reception was really friendly and helpful! She made check in really easy. Modern rooms. Good value for money.

Came for a birthday treat.. is anything but. Baths were dirty, wouldn't mind if I was just having a shower, I wouldn't have complained but I really wanted a relaxing bath..1st room bath was dirty with hairs in, 2nd room brown rim going around and 3rd had scuffs and residue..ended up back at the 1st, the best of what was available. this is standard, as after new years all baths will be cleaned and resurfaced. Then had to go down to the reception to order room service as nobody answered the phone, was waiting there for a good 5mins further as no one there, so I am yet to relax.. in all honesty wished I have stayed home. Here's hoping breakfast saves the stay. Feels like a prank

We were met at reception by Zeinab who was very friendly and gave a fantastic first impression. This set the tone of our stay and we couldn't be happier. She advised on places to visit and cocktails to try in the hotel bar.

Having spent our first Christmas away from home we had a fabulous time at the Mal Mason with its great rooms, brilliant food especially for vegetarian me ! Staff made our stay perfect much better than previous December stays in NYC. Location could not be better to the amazing stores which had the great Christmas atmosphere covered .For our family this was a less stressful Christmas break of really good value ….. Mal Mason had everything covered to make sure we had a 5 star experience

Great location near to all amenities. Hotel looks amazing at first glance. Reception welcome good, bar looks lovely. Room bit shabby and tired and found someone else's hair bobble on the floor. Enamel has come off bath in places. Lovely power shower though. Bar advertised cocktails but didn't do a bloody Mary. Breakfast looked the part but had to be sent back as was cold. All in all a decent enough visit but probably would only return due to location.

We booked our Christmas Do at the Malmaison and it was amazing, one of the best Christmas Dos I have been to. It was very easy to organise, Michelle did an amazing job, kept us informed and up to date and was very accommodating if changes needed to be made.

All staff on the day were very welcoming, friendly and provided excellent service. Can't really ask for anything more.

We had our Christmas party at Malmaison Leeds, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The evening included a three-course meal followed by a party, and everything was really well organised.
The food was delicious and beautifully presented, with all courses arriving on time and hot. The service throughout the night was excellent – the staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure everyone was well looked after without it ever feeling rushed.
After the meal, the party atmosphere was great and made for a brilliant end to the evening. Overall, it was a really enjoyable Christmas celebration and a venue we’d happily recommend for a work party or special event.

Really good food and service received from Evie. Great selection of starters and mains - we had the chicken thighs and steak - amazing! Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely fantastic! Such a better afternoon tea than your run of the mill sandwiches.each savoury piece was carefully crafted and tasted delicious. The brisket bites were amazing and the sticky toffee scones were delightful. Great flavours and such a lovely treat. Thank you

We had our Christmas meal at the Malmaison for the first and we had a excellent experience. Our party was well catered for by the staff and we had an excellent evening. Service was great and the food quality was as well. We went as a group of 35 and it went perfectly. If you are looking for a venue for such a work event I would definitely recommend.

We recently held our Christmas party at Malmaison Leeds, and had a wonderful evening. Michelle and the team were so lovely and accommodating of our requests. The venue looked beautiful and the food was fabulous. I would definitely recommend!

Booked a night away to relax and do some Christmas shopping then complicated it by deciding to arrive in Leeds early to do a parkrun (you can get an A at Armley parkrun if your doing the alphabet challenge).

Reception were incredibly accommodating and allowed us to drop off our bags at 10AM then arranged an early check in so we could come back and shower / change shortly after lunch.

Champagne was delivered to the room mid afternoon which we ended up taking down to the bar for a pre drink before our three course meal in the restaurant. The food was excellent, the staff were great and we had a lovely evening.

The room was comfortable and breakfast the following morning was everything you could hope for.

Just returned from a 1 night stay... Friendly welcome from reception... The room was absolutely beautiful... We booked the bed and bubbles offer ... great value for money including breakfast which was stunning... Great service at breakfast 👌... One of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in... can't wait to return.❤️

We've held our business pre-drinks event at the Malmaison for the last two years and on each occasion, it has been faultless for service, quality of drinks, fantastic bar staff and atmosphere of Malmaison.

I stayed here for one night. It's notable that the Malmaison brand which was some years ago 'disruptive' is now an oasis of proper facilities rather than having a hotel, room with no wardrobe, an iron in a laundry room down the hall and no tea or coffee making facilities. My room had all these amenities.

The hotel is not easy to find from Leeds station but once you arrive it's set in an imposing building which clearly has some history, the building was originally the head office of Leeds City Tramways, later converted into the boutique-style Malmaison hotel in the nineties.....so it was an early Malmaison.

The staff were good and the room (231) was a good size with a high ceiling. Alas, no view to speak of (an office building on the other side of a courtyard). The bath was nice and deep and the room was quiet. Breakfast was very well appointed with a great cooked menu (I just had the cornflakes) and of note although the staff had just experienced a problem with the toaster (and apologised for the smoke) another toaster appeared within minutes. In fact all the staff at breakfast were very attentive and need congratulating on this.

Negative points? Only that the 'hip' lighting made the room somewhat dark and, again, breakfast was very dark, not helped by the late dawn breaking and a typical northern grey day. I was also a bit miffed that a checkout request to 12 noon would have been chargeable (I didn't opt in). Oh - and I probably didn't need the coffee machine to tell me how many calories were in the Latte!

But overall, a pleasant stay and I would recommend.

We held our firms Christmas party here and I could not fault anything at all. The location is a great central location for office parties with close links to the train station and other bars etc. The staff were friendly and welcoming and helped organise an amazing event for us all. The food was great and the set up was perfect. We will definitely be back!

My mother-in-law, sister-in-law and I had booked to come for the festive afternoon tea. When we arrived, it wasn’t clear where we needed to go, so we went to reception. The receptionist wasn’t warm or friendly; she just said, “It’s at the bar.” Never having been here before, it would have been helpful to have someone friendly.
There also seemed to be a dispute happening between some customers and a member of staff. I know these things can’t always be helped, but it didn’t give a great first impression. The staff at the bar were busy doing other things until we told them we were there for afternoon tea.
The lady who eventually served us and took us to our seats was warm, friendly, and even made us chuckle, which we appreciated.The afternoon tea itself was alright. The cupcakes were a bit dry, and the salmon tart didn’t taste quite right. There wasn’t any Christmas music playing, nor was the area decorated very much. Overall, we had an good catch up, but it didn’t feel like the Christmassy vibe we were expecting. For the £150 we paid (including the 12.5% service charge), we don’t feel we got the full experience we were hoping for. For the same price, we could have gone to The Ivy or Betty’s and had a more festive, customer-focused experience. Prior to all of this I was called 3 times at 7pm to be told I had put in my booking notes I was using a group on voucher and i couldn't use it but I hadnt noted any of this. I was also called at 10am on the Saturday on the day which I ignored.

We had 20+ rooms for a work Christmas party and the experience was great. From the reservations team assisting with the booking through to the staff at the hotel. The reception was well prepared with our guest list and room allocations. The rooms were clean, spacious and welcoming and we enjoyed drinks in the bar too before heading out. A much needed breakfast was enjoyed the following morning.

Booking a meeting room was easy to coordinate with great communication from the event organisers who are very helpful and accommodating. The venue is great and the location of the hotel is ideal both for driving and use of public transport. I would happily book again and would recommend to others
