Beautiful room
Thursday night I returned to the room & it smelt of cigarette smoke. Therefore had to open the balcony door.
Unfortunately road works on the Kingsway overnight with jackhammer in use all night. Therefore wanted the TV on. Wanting to stream to block out noise.
Friday night again the room smelt of cigarette smoke & constantly smelt of cigarette smoke as well as the foyer on that level. I phone reception, informing the staff- who offered me to move at 01:00 in the morning. I stated you need to contact next door & tell them to stop smoking. I stated “It is against the law to smoke in a hotel room”!
I am sick of hotels being so lenient on “smoking” on guests.

The noise outside sounded like I was in a war zone
The property is close to the beach and nearby cafes and restaurants.
We paid over $500 for one night in a beachside room. We were given a room on one of the lower floors that had limited views of the water and the traffic, people and music noise was extreme, so sleeping and relaxing was almost impossible. I reached out to reception, but the hotel was booked out so we could not relocate. The bar closed at 9:30pm, on a Saturday night.
The room was quite dated and need to be refurbished. We couldn’t stream to the TV and eventually gave up.
Massive disappointment, save your money and try somewhere else. Definitely not worth the money they are asking for a one night stay.
