Took us an hour to get the TV and Coffee machine to work. No paperwork to guide us. Very frustrating.
Also, no reference to local restaurants nearby.

C'mon Rydges, you need to stop relying on fabulous location and lift your game to previous levels.
Pros:

Wonderful location so close to beach, cafes and mall. We have been staying at this Rydges for family occasions over 20 years and has always been a favourite.

Cons:

Service from staff this time had definitely fallen off. Reception staff were cordial but seemed stressed a lot of the time despite not being that busy and there was not the previous level of service.
The breakfast buffet was disappointing after being a favourite aspect in previous visits. There was no obvious FOH person to greet guests and staff were very lackadaisical and more interested in chatting to each other than attending to guests or refilling coffee urns or buffet drinks/ cutlery etc. It felt like many staff were untrained casuals lacking supervision or any form of consistent service. Buffet was loudly cleared away 15 minutes before closing time and staff were verging on rude.

Look out Cronulla. And look out Stella and Phillip.
Pros:

The atmosphere, is next to none. Can't wait to visit again. Cronulla gets better every time we stay.

Cons:

That ones on us. We didn't have a lot of time to stay and explore what was on offer, however we love love and love to travel together. coming back is difinatleyn on our bucket list.
