We have 2 children, a boy and a girl. The family room was a good size and the bathroom was spacious too. The bathroom was clean and in good condition.
Breakfast was well prepared and a good range.
We normally stay in Premier Inn, because of price, locations everywhere and the family room normally has a double and 2 single beds which is ideal. However, Hol Inn Express room and breakfast is a level above and I'm happy to pay the little bit extra for one night.
2 single beds as well as a double in the family room would make more sense.
We had a wonderful stay yesterday, and I want to give a special mention to Ana at reception. She was absolutely fantastic—attentive, warm, and went way beyond what we could have hoped for to make sure we were comfortable. Reception staff make such a huge first impression, and Ana couldn't have been better!

"Overall, our two-night stay was pleasant, and the room was nicely designed, but I would have appreciated some extra basics like a small fridge with a bottle of water. Rooms too basic , needed the fridge
No room service, patently staff shortage. Btw, That's not a excuse for me.
The location for the ferry was perfect as easy drive. Ability to grab a breakfast item early was good -we did need it before 6.30 and were able to get coffee and pastry to take out. Staff welcoming and generally hotel very clean.
Slight damp smell in the room. Chair very stained and so we did not like to use it.
The reception area was bright and the corridors snelled of baby powder which was nice

Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was great after moving to second room. Road noise was very quiet with the window closed. Air con in room. Kettle and tea and coffee provided.
First room we were given had an unpleasant smell. We mentioned this to reception and the quickly moved us to another room.
