Leuk verblijf in het hartje van Oslo.
Pros:

Het hotel ligt in het hartje van Oslo en vormt zo een uitstekende uitvalsbasis om de stad te verkennen. De kamer was ruim voor 2 volwassenen en 2 kinderen.

Cons:

Onze kamer lag op een hoek. We hadden veel ramen waardoor de kamer heel warm werd. Helaas was er geen airco aanwezig in de kamer.

Very conveniently located, comfortable and pleasant hotel with a fabulous breakfast
Pros:

The Scandic is so conveniently located, it’s perfect if you’re arriving by train or tube into the city. The staff at the front desk are very friendly and allowed us to store our luggage before check-in and after check-out.

The room was very large, the bed was very comfortable and the room had a huge tv. The bathroom had all the essentials on offer.

Breakfast was delicious, and there was a huge selection of both hot and cold dishes on offer. We really enjoyed our short stay at this hotel.

Cons:

Unfortunately we arrived during a very hot week and this meant the room was stuffy and it wasn’t possible to open a window. However we were supplied with a fan which helped a lot.

While this was in good location and had a good breakfast, I would not stay there again due to lack of A/C, small roo

Room was small, had stairway to access room once door was opened, no Air Conditioning/fan, tiny shower.

Hotellet har en veldig god beliggenhet i Oslo, med kort vei til både butikker, restauranter og andre fasiliteter. Rommene var fine og komfortable. De ga ingen stor “wow-opplevelse”, men holdt en god standard og var hyggelige å bo på.

Servicen var også god. Dessverre fungerte ikke airconditionen den første natten, noe som gjorde oppholdet ganske ubehagelig, og vi vurderte faktisk å bytte hotell. Heldigvis tok hotellet tak i problemet med én gang, og allerede dagen etter var airconditionen reparert. Det gjorde at vi valgte å bli, og det opplevde vi som et tydelig tegn på god kundeservice.

Det som dessverre trekker ned, er frokosten for oss som har cøliaki eller glutenintoleranse. Utvalget av glutenfrie alternativer var begrenset, slik det ofte er på hotell. Det sto blant annet skilt om glutenfrie pannekaker, men disse ble ikke fylt på jevnlig. Da jeg tok det siste glutenfrie brødet, tok det rundt 45 minutter før det kom mer. Det gjør at man som gjest med spesielle kostbehov føler seg lite ivaretatt.

Når det er sagt, smakte resten av frokosten veldig godt. Egg, bacon og annet tilbehør holdt god kvalitet, så det skal egentlig ikke så mye til før frokostopplevelsen blir virkelig bra – et litt bedre utvalg og jevnere påfyll av glutenfrie alternativer ville gjort en stor forskjell.

Alt i alt hadde vi et fint opphold, og med den gode beliggenheten og den imøtekommende servicen ville vi vurdert å bo her igjen.
