I'd avoid this hotel if you're planning to arrive by car
Pros:

My wife and I had another very pleasant stay from the afternoon of Christmas Eve to Boxing Day. The staff were lovely and the room was comfortable. Unfortunately we have now received a parking fine for using the car park during our stay despite being told that we didn't need to worry about paying for parking by the reception staff at the time. It has been absolutely impossible to get any kind of communication from the hotel regarding this: phone calls go unanswered and emails are ignored.

Cons:

I don't like the fact that when you try to raise an issue the Village Hotels they refer you to a phone number 01135 240322 that doesn't get answered and an email address reception.leeds@village-hotels.com that you don't receive a reply from. The behaviour is incredibly discourteous to their customers to just ignore them.

Couldn't park due to large event. The Hotel didn't notify hotel guests. Cold Room
Pros:

The bed is comfy

Cons:

The room was cold. There was an event at the hotel and all car parking had been taken. People were also arriving for the Gym / swimming classes. This resulted in driving around the hotel grounds for 30 mins trying to find a parking space. This made me late for my evening meeting. It would have been better if the hotel advised people that there was a large event and that Parking might not have been possible.

Booked a family room, wasn’t made up as a family room. Ate at restaurant had to order via QR code, didn’t bring the drinks. Very loud into early hours 3/4am unable to sleep

The stay was at short notice and I enjoyed the rest.
Pros:

The room was spacious and comfortable i had an excellent night sleep. The breakfast was enjoyable and I liked the fact that it was self service
The location was good and easy enough to get to the coach station

Cons:

The room could have been a little warmer, but the heater in the room soon changed that.
The price of the room was a bit expensive
