Village Hotel Leeds North

So far on arrival we found a self check-in was fine until it asked us to place a key card for activation. We placed a red card on the screen below where it said. Turns out the red card was not the key card and on the area we were we did not have any black key cards. Also when it said below it actually meant to the left or right. We had to go the coffee shop to ask if anyone could assist and we were not the only ones having the same problem. I will add more as the experience unfolds.

This would be the worst of all the Village hotel locations i have stayed at recently. Arrived around 3pm and was checked in to an accessible room, which is quite uncomfortable with everything low to the ground, but ok I can deal with that not a problem. However, the room was extremely dated and every surface was either dirty or damaged, again I can deal with this. Sat down to get some work done and constant drilling sound started up from room above due to refurbishment. After an hour I lost patience and went to reception to be told there are no alternative rooms available as the hotel is fully booked. On return to my room I hear loud sex from the adjoining room which continues on and off throughout the next hour or two with various men coming in and out with doors slamming etc. At this point I have had enough and return to reception to complain and check out. Miraculously they found me an alternative room at this point. The alternative room was equally dishevelled but was at least free from noise. I wont be rushing back.

Very nice hotel BUT their customer service is less than impressive.
I booked and paid for this hotel room in October 2025, when I left the hotel and got home I realised the hotel had charged me again for the room. That was 10days ago, since then I’ve called them twice and been told, both times, it would be refunded straight away. I’m still waiting for a refund.
Not good enough is it!!!

Lovely clean and comfortable bed

Clean, comfortable and friendly staff.
Food was fantastic in the restaurant/bar and the breakfast in the morning had plenty of hot and cold choices.

The hotel was busy for a Sunday. I have used the gym and pub at this hotel many times but never stayed over before. The best nights sleep EVER! We choose to stay here because it is local and convenient should we need to get back home quickly.
From walking in we was greeted with a smile and friendly faces, to the moment we left.
Ellie checked us in and was so lovely, smiling and helpful. We had an ‘issue’ with the room but it was resolved so quickly and wasn’t even anything major just our own preference. Again Ellie sorted it all out for us.
Had food in the pub which was quick, fresh and delicious.
The room was really clean and the little quotes around the room added a nice touch.
We didn’t use the facilities this time as we wanted a nice early night with sleep as two exhausted parents!
We would definitely come back and stay again.

Fantastic hotel, all staff were all very friendly and extremely helpful, great value for money, will definitely be staying again!
