due to barely any sleep we will not return
Pros:

hotel restaurant bar and grill, food was very nice

Cons:

rooms had no level of soundproof what so ever. we heard every noise from the room next to us, talking laughing etc doors slamming at 3am -5.30 am. windows were closed but still heard car doors closing and cars driving away through the night. we only had 4 hours sleep due to the noise

Good location, nice hotel. A bed on the floor isn’t a family room and kitchen staff should understand what they are serv
Pros:

The location and the fact you could eat there.

Cons:

We paid for a family room and our son git a bed on the floor. Our friends paid the exact same and got a room with two proper beds. It was very disappointing he had to sleep on the floor. That’s not a family room.
Also not one person at work on that day knew anything about a nutrition menu as we traveled with a T1D. Not even the chef knew anything about it. We had to guess the carbs in everything. All we were offered was an allergy menu to let us know what had peanuts in! Diabetics can eat peanuts, which I would expect the kitchen staff to know. It caused an unsettled night and we had to eat out for breakfast, which we had paid for.

Pros:

Room was nearly decorated and was tastefully done.

Cons:

The pub & grill needs to decide what it is trying to be. It's a restaurant, pub complete with dartboards and a large screen with cinema style seating.
On Saturday we were trying to have our meal but it was very noisy due to a group of men playing darts, people cheering at the football, so we struggled to have a conversation.

Looking out of our room window, onto the flat roof we also spotted a rat. Not a great sight.

Disappointing
Pros:

Location good. Room was fine and bed comfy. Quiet

Cons:

Easy parking but hadn’t read all the details on booking.com and, at first glance, it would appear that parking is included, but is not. No hairdryer in either room but we were supplied with one on asking. Toilet very dirty. Hotel advised that they had called to inform me that we would not be able to access hotel by car until 6pm due to marathon but no calls missed or messages to support this and unable to reach hotel by phone since week before to check about this. Very little in terms of apology.

Not as tip top as previous yrs.
Pros:

The food in the bar and the sports zone for the TV was brilliant as always. Top cooking and great service.

Cons:

Found rubbish from previous room occupants under the bed. A large box from a home delivery and a large bag.
Never complained at the time as it was only somewhere to lay my head before the Leeds marathon. The only other niggle was no bath in the room. Last 2 yrs I have stayed there has been a bath which is brilliant to soak in after the race. Can't really lay down and soak in a shower lol. The lighting i the room wasn't brilliant. Only 2 minor small ceiling spots to light the whole room when not using the bedside lamps. Had to put all the lights on to get sufficient light to read in the room.

Adequate
Pros:

Good location for the marathon that started in Headingley

Cons:

Village hotels act as a leisure centre & pub rather than for hotel guests . Preference is for a more modern / corporate hotel.
