It was the closest hotel to where we needed to be (Breaston) so meant we had no rush hour traffic issues to deal with. Comfy bed. Separate toilet from the bathroom. Liked the decent size toiletries rather than loads of mini bottles.
The building isn’t very attractive and a bit rough around the edges. Our window didn’t fully close so it was a tad noisy and the soundproofing with the next room was poor due to it being an adjoining type room that we didn’t need.
No Gas in the property meant that we couldn't eat, or shower the entire stay.
There were no hot food in the restaurant, except 1 specific type of burger.
No Hot water, so no showers
We didn't bother staying for breakfast.
- The real problem was that we didn't realise these problems until after we had been in the bar a couple of hours in the evening - so we could not drive anywhere else to eat.
And then I have spent 3 weeks sending emails to Novotel Hotels complaining - and have had ABSOLUTELY NO RESPONSE - Not even an acknowledgement of my emails. DISGUSTING SERVICE.
Food was poor, room was poor and cold

The staff were friendly, the room was a good size and comfortable.
The noise, both of the morning we could hear conversions and on the 2nd morning at 7am children playing, shouting and chatting, it felt it was literally outside our door, it may have been in the next room with only the adjoining door as soundproofing.
It worked me a I then worried that it's having the TV on at night may have caused them issues.
Perfect location for visiting our son. Close to motorway junction.

Housekeeping woke us up knocking on the door at 8am and knocked again at 9am on the day of check out. Hotel was quite noisy with slamming doors all night.
