Had everything you needed for a great stay.

Breakfast was very good. Huge selection of foods and drinks. Great location to city of York. Swimming pool was a huge hit with my son. Bus stop on main road outside hotel.
Excellent central location: good parking; friendly staff and good sized rooms.
Check in is always surprisingly slow. It can be noisy at night: last night I was kept awake for 30 minutes by noisy corridor behaviour and then later by snoring from the adjacent room. Poor sound insulation.

Room was too hot. No control on AC after complaining that it was not on they switched it on blocking out the controller and could not even turn it of at the controller.

Breakfast was really good. Air conditioning in room didn’t work great . Unable to enjoy the view as it was a small window in the room and a big sofa in front of it. Apart from this it is a lovely hotel.

Staff and the room. The additional bed size is inadequate for an adult but hotel staff denied to accommodate . It was an uncomfortable stay

Only real annoyances are the prices. Prices for drinks can be very expensive but it’s what you bargain for with a decent hotel
The hidden extras as well. Had to pay £30 extra for an earlier check in as well as £18 for parking.
Its location and car park. The breakfast restaurant was nice.
It looked grotty. Carpets were really badly stained. Bathroom was old. The swimming pool water was very murky. Some charging points didn’t work in the room. The air conditioning didn’t work so the room was very hot.
