How close it was to the city
The staff
Great location on edge of centre, a short walk along the river or walls. Modern feel, great pool and clean rooms. Parking deal makes it even better value.
Room was hot at night and safety catch means window only opens a tiny bit and kept closing in the night.
The staff were EXCELLENT, from reception to the breakfast area.
The reception and bar area are amazing. Very welcoming and comfortable.
Our room had no aircon. There was a horrible smell coming from the wash basin. The pool was too busy with children jumping in despite signs saying not to.
Staff great and really helpful, rooms were clean, loved the pool area.
Only issue we had was with the extra cots/beds as my 3 year old got off the bed and cut her leg due to there being really sharp welding in them - should have probably been replaced instead of welded badly. However, staff were really helpful and apologetic, provided antiseptic wipes and plasters and left my daughter a plate of chocolates when we returned in the afternoon (she is easily bought haha). Would like to see appropriate cover or new bed frames to replace to avoid bigger injury.
Room wasnt big dust on certain things we had to unblock a toilet
Dint like the fact i felt in fear whilst we are ment to be staying in a place that has a safe environment a man got arrested an pepper sprayed down stairs near the bar an pool could taste it was very fearful
Inclusive breakfast and evening meals were good. I found glass in one of my drinks and the staff quickly arranged a refund. Hotel is modern and has easy access to the city.
Car parking fees were too expensive. Some of the staff gave the impression they didn’t want to be at work; some of the staff were excellent.
There was a 30 minutes slot for the use of the pool which is a no go if you are a family.
