This hotel as been my second home for the last 3 years, travel lodge have bought it, and take over from 22/04/2025, hope they dont mess it up, the staff are great, price great, location great, lets see what happens, also this new hotel brand are not on hotel.com? Should i stay loyal to this site, or my second home campanile Bradford, soon to be travel lodge? Thanks
The room was clean and big. The bed was comfy and shower nice and hot. The room had a strange smell I suspect someone had been smoking and it was cold we had to keep the heater on constant maybe because it was the end room with two outside walls. Damp patches on one of the walls.
Basic but clean, but the rooms were freezing without heating
Reasonable price. Good restaurant and bar area. Nice food. Helpful staff. Convenient parking. Comfortable bed.
Terrible cleanliness, dirty room, filthy stained carpet. Cold room, ineffective aircon heating. No towel rail in bathroom.
Lovely reception lady was the only positive. She was obviously embarrassed.
DO NOT BOOK !
Room was filthy it was smelly like dirty clothes and sweat , the carpet was stained and sticky from the entrance right through around the bed. Cigarette burns across the windowsill, smells of smoke, bathroom tap had toothpaste splatters all over it. Never ever been in such a dirty place … I wanted to leave but the city was so busy due to it being Eid. I personally feel these rooms are used for possibly prostitutes or to house homeless people. The sounds from other rooms were not desirable. No hotel room would ever be in the state these are if used only as an overnight stay.
I went straight to reception … another man was there complaining and getting a different room for the same reason. I had my room changed to nothing any better. I thought there had been some mistake. I walked into the change of room to exactly th same. I felt sick. Slept in my clothes, never took my shoes off.
The hotel is located on an industrial estate which is easy to find and quiet. We had a third floor room which was fine. The decor is a little tired and the room lighting extremely dim.
The television was great, nice size and easy to use. Kettle and cups etc was a good addition to the room. The shower was excellent, very powerful and no issue with limescale, which is often the norm.
We ate in the restaurant which was an easy option for us. Nice food and very friendly service. It was a little cool in the restaurant, maybe from the main doors opening.
We registered the car and made use of the spacious carpark.
We had a really good stay, comfy bed and nice bedding. We did the local parkrun, so we're able to come back to our room for a shower before checking out.
I would recommend for a short stay in Bradford.
Thank you.
Convenient location to drive to. Staff very friendly. Food options limited. Out on a limb in an industrial estate just off the motorway,
however, plenty of other options within 10-15 minutes drive.
The room and the corridor had an awful musty smell, i imagine because the rooms are not aired out. I had to leave the window open and leave the room for a few hours after i checked in.
In general its a decent place to stay.
I would say some staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. But others can be quite rude. In general, my main issue with the place was the smell, it really needs to be aired out when not in use.
The room was basic but clean, comfortable bed and quiet.
The carpet was stained, and looked dirty and the walls and doorframes were tired looking, in need of decorating, however the cleaning standards were good.
I don't eat cooked breakfast but still paid for breakfast as i eat continental breakfast. The choise of cereal was poor, just coco pops rice crispies and cornflakes, no healthy option, and there was only low fat peach yoghurt available, very disappointing. So not much to offer anyone not wanting cooked breakfast.
Not easy to find needs more signage
Not easy to find should have better signage
Fantastic hotel , will be returning soon . Very welcoming , staff are fantastic . Breakfast is very high quality for a low price . The rooms are a very good size although the lights are nice it can be quite dim at night due to being at the same side of the room rather than ceiling . You control your own room temperature which is something I have never come across which is a fantastic addition!!!
The room was clean, and had everything we needed however we found the room to be a bit chilly with no way of making it warmer as the remote for the fan had half of the buttons missing! We were in the furthest room and only there for 1 night so just left it but it was a shame as not had this issue when staying there before.
I got there after a very long day and still had some work to do. When I got to my room it was extremely cold and the heater wasnt working. After trying for 10 minutes and keeping my coat on I went to reception to ask for new room. I was told they weren’t allowed and I had to go back to my room while they sorted the problem. After about 15 minutes more the heating was fixed but the room was chilly all night. I didn’t have the breakfast option. Parking on site which was good
Good
★☆☆☆☆ Disappointing Stay – Poor Preparation and Cold Room
We booked a two-night stay for two adults and two children at Hotel Campanile, Bradford through Expedia in early January for a mid-February stay, expecting a smooth check-in. Unfortunately, the experience was frustrating from the start.
When we arrived just after 7:30pm, the room wasn’t ready. The children’s bed hadn’t been set up despite our booking being in their system. The staff took us to a room and started setting it up, only to realise the bed was broken. We were then moved to another room, where they had to set everything up again from scratch. This lack of preparation was completely unacceptable.
To make matters worse, the room was freezing cold upon arrival, which made waiting for the bedding situation to be sorted even more uncomfortable.
The bathroom layout was also frustrating – the toilet and bathroom are separate, but the toilet has no sink, meaning you have to leave with unwashed hands and go to the bathroom to wash them. It’s an incredibly unhygienic and poorly designed setup.
Overall, our check-in experience was chaotic, and the lack of preparation left us feeling very disappointed. I wouldn’t stay here again and would not recommend it to others.
Cheap, affordable no friils. Staff are always wonderful. Polite, courteous and on hand to help. Motorway noise through the night can be a distraction. Ear plugs are a must for light sleepers. Carpets in need of desperate clean. Minimal TV channels to watch. Beds have lots of spring and only a thin duvet so chillier in winter, especially as it can a while for air unit to heat the room. For what it is and offers it is very reasonably priced. Good amount of parking. Used by a lot of construction type contractors who often leave very early so be prepared for their noise to carry between rooms and floors. Checkout is 12 so generous compared to many hotels.
Quick stop over at the last minute, thank you.
Mattress uncomfy, duvet wafer thin, 2 small towels, no hand towels. Car park was like a ice rink, ok weather was bad but rock salt should be spread
Good value overnight stop, free parking, convenient driving location. Nice breakfast.
