Romantic setting good not excellent
Pros:

Very attentive staff
Due to the hotel being a listed building there is no lift and having a room on tte 3rd floor not ideal when you have heavy cases
A negative is as there is a lot of material decoration dust is a problem opening curtains in the morning you could see dust in the air.excellant breakfast
The outside of the building looks great with a marvellous setting.car parking is sometimes a problem depending on how busy the hotel is

Very good
Pros:

The hot tub room was great, very comfortable, modern facilities, the hot tub itself was fun, and we could wander down from the patio to the outdoor pool.
The staff were always keen to oblige. Everything table service in the bar, there are a couple of nice lounges and outdoor seating. All staff helpful and very friendly.
Food in the restaurant was very good quality. Some of it is grown on site. Breakfast excellent, both continental and hot options. Good walking in the area, including right from the hotel grounds.

This hotel is simply wonderful. The staff is charming and efficient. The restaurant and food superb. The room luxurious. The surrounding gardens and landscape beautiful. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in and I’ve stayed in hundreds. Expensive, yes, but worth every penny.

Pros:

You need a shop to sell the toiletries available for guests as well as local beers and ciders and cakes and biscuits. And perhaps links to local artists; prints make good souvenirs.

Pros:

Me and my partner stayed at this hotel for night during the Easter break and we found it amazing from hotel cleanliness to the overall decor of the venue. We booked a junior suite but have to say the picture shows double bathtub but there was only one bathtub in the bathroom so didn’t have the beautiful greenery view out the window. The shower facilities were brilliant and the toiletries were really nice. Fresh bath towels and the lot. The bed was super comfy and the pillows were just plump and nice and felt resting on clouds. The sofa chairs were large and very comfortable and there was a Dyson hair dryer that my partner enjoyed. Just enough wardrobe space for two with a fridge that had some water and milk for the free tea. The dinner at the restaurant for us was a let down as we only got the vegetarian menu, the pasta was tasteless but the salmon was tasty. There should be more vegetarian options as little tip for next time. However, the normal menu did look great and so those who are able to eat the meat it maybe nice. They did give fresh orange juice aswell which was delicious. The breakfast menu was fantastic and would highly recommend. The Spa amenities are brilliant so be sure to make use of them. Overall I would highly recommend this place to others and would stay again.

Lovely hotel - would stay again.
Pros:

Stayed in one of the family rooms in the separate building - a bunk bed downstairs and queen upstairs with en-suite.

Room was clean, well-appointed and worked well to get the kids to sleep allowing adults to relax upstairs.

Room service menu and quality of food were excellent.

Spa and internal and external pool were great, but strict kids hours in the internal pool meant we actually had to swim/play in sub zero temperatures - which was not ideal and quite rude.

Hotel is close to Longleat, and is a high class local retreat.

Great hotel
Pros:

Excellent hotel with excellent facilities. Perfect for couples or families. We stayed as a family and absolutely loved it! Recently refurbished, with designer interiors and a good atmosphere. Great pool and spa area. Only downside was restaurant staff seemed a little uninterested/ unhelpful. Reception staff were great, grounds were immaculate and spacious and food was really good. Breakfast was especially good. Would return!

Fab you could stay in a luxurious hotel room with a dog, great private jacuzzi and the grounds were stunning. Our dog loved your dog agility course and our children had fun on the pumpkin hunt. We will def be back, definitely a special hotel - thoroughly recommend.

We definitely recommend
Pros:

Our stay at Bishopstrow Hotel was delightful! Dinner was delicious, and we loved the flavors and presentation. The junior suite was spacious and comfortable, though it could use a bit more natural light. The pool and jacuzzi were a fantastic addition to our stay, making it easy to relax. We also enjoyed the beautiful hikes around the hotel, which gave us a chance to explore the lovely surroundings. A highlight was the fresh eggs and milk we got nearby—they were simply fantastic. All in all, a wonderful stay with a great mix of comfort, relaxation, and nature!

Pros:

Fabulous hotel with a friendly spa facility integrated into the hotel's offer. Great to have an outdoor pool and plenty of spaces inside and outside to enjoy. The manor itself is grand and luxurious. The Garden Grill served an excellent dinner with good wines available and staff couldn't be more helpful. Only down side was there was no hot water during one afternoon - but the hotel gave me a £50 discount off the bill as compensation which was unexpected and appreciated.
