Always enjoy staying at the ParkRoyal, however they really need an upgrade when it comes to the lifts.
Pros:

Great location. Room was lovely & the bed was very comfy. Reception staff were great.

Cons:

Lift was out of order & the wait time for either of the other 2 lifts was shockingly long.
When having breakfast, staff took our coffee order but only delivered 1 even though we ordered completely different drinks.

Accomodation was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed
Pros:

1. The rooms were very clean & comfortable.
2. The bathrooms were a good size, and had ample amenities which was appreciated.
3. The breakfast had a very good variety of foods.

Cons:

I will start by saying that I actually manage over 100 Airbnb homes, I am well versed in all aspects of accomodation management.
Feedback that management should consider / review to improve the guest experience:
1. The elevator took an extremely long time on the Saturday afternoon - there were 8 people on our floor alone waiting for one. One elevator seemed to just not be moving at all but also wasn’t displayed to be out of order?
2. I didn’t appreciate that there was a $200 deposit per room. Most definitely a holding deposit per booking, however my booking had 2 rooms meaning $400 holding deposit for a 1 night stay. Essentially a 40% holding deposit which seems exuberant.
3. On Sunday morning there was an older gentleman in the foyer disputing charges to his account. The female staff member quite a few times said ‘I don’t know sorry’ when she was asked about charges and why they were there. While she was lovely, that was very unprofessional. I understand that it wasn’t me disputing charges, but we could overhear everything as they were talking quite loudly. In my opinion, all staff should also be able to read, understand and explain statements/charges without hesitation.
The conversation made me feel uneasy and I immediately thought ‘hmm maybe I did pay for breakfast twice and the staff member at check in just didn’t know how to read it correctly’. Not a good look.
4. I had booked the 2 rooms both with breakfast, however according to your end there was only 1 breakfast. The booking.com email (that I showed the staff members) also didn’t clearly stipulate that I had only booked and paid for one breakfast. Either the booking.com email wasn’t clear enough to all of us including your staff, or something might have gone astray in the back end.
Either way in a situation like that i would personally have just allowed the guest to go to breakfast with no additional charges given proof was supplied etc.

Comfortable and central
Pros:

Comfortable hotel in a a very central location

Cons:

It was inconvenient to have to call for room service to get tooth brushes.
Also lifts weren’t working when we were leaving and had to walk down 10 flights with baggage

Good choice in Parra when on deal, but don't expect anything extraordinary
Pros:

I honestly liked my room, only thing I didn't like - there was no lights on the ceiling above the bed, so I couldn't read my books, it's not the first time I experience this in Sydney. Bed was the highlight - super comfy.

Cons:

Breakfast was not good, I didn't enjoy it at all and it's not cheap. Very basic choices and didn't taste great :( Swimming pool is quite small. Also the general vibe of the hotel just didn't feel great to be honest.
