Far below expectations

The location was convenient, and they had their own parking lot.

Cons:

We had stayed here before a few years ago, and I thought I knew what to expect. But, evidently, this hotel is supposed to be demolished soon as part of the Dana Point Harbor renovations. The lack of concern for the upkeep showed. The walls and floors were scratched and stained. The bathtub had mold in the corners and under the lifted edges of the mat. The sliding doors wouldn't close properly. The breakfast, which on our last stay included eggs, bacon, and sausage, now only had breads, cereal, and waffle maker...

As for the location, the quaint sea village around the harbor is being torn down. The giant parking garage stands right in the middle of the rubble. There is construction everywhere, and it was all up and running Monday morning at 7:30am.

At least reduce the cost of the rooms to reflect the run-down facilities and the under construction location. It was truly overpriced.

Actually very fine. Perfect place to stay after leaving the last ferry from Catalina.

We will give it another try next time we are visiting our son and family in Laguna Niguel.
Pros:

Breakfast was great and lots of options. appreciated the hours & ability to eat outdoors.
Also the front desk was more than professional and assistance was greatly appreciated.

Cons:

The Booking agent cancelled my original booking due to a misunderstanding I believe but I also followed up with an email to confirm my booking was not cancelled. However, when we arrived to check in, our reservation was cancelled and we were fortunate the agent at the front desk that checked us in found us a room. However, the original booking I made far in advance and chose the specific room with a king bed on the first floor that opened out to the pool deck. That room had been taken so it was very disappointing to us since we got a double queen bed rather than the king and it was for Valentines so not what we were hoping for :(

Booking.com overcharged me the room rates were rate cheaper. If I had gone through them.

It was a nice location and not a bad price.But come to find out it was way more expensive through you guys had.I just called them myself.I would have got I wait super price

Good comfort and value for money
Pros:

Hotel is ok. Breakfast if very basic - waffles, yogurt, coffee, 3 bananas for all guests, orange. Place/price: good.
It's not a 5* but okay to stay. Some rooms have nice view on yachts. Pretty clean. Parking is safe, wifi is stable.

Pros:

Check in a was fast and easy. View was nice of the pool and harbor.

Cons:

Room had a smell that was likely caused by the carpet. Parking was full but we got over flow parking which was closer to our room.
