The town it is in
Old and elevators were not clean
We extended our stay because the family was having such a great time. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our visit, and adding another night was easy. The room was clean and comfortable, and the pool was definitely a favorite with the kids. Great location for a relaxing Dana Point getaway.
No real complaints. The property is a little older, but everything was clean, comfortable and worked as it should.
We had a great family staycation. The front desk staff couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating, the room and beds were clean and comfortable, and everything worked as it should. The pool was a huge hit with the kids, and the location is fantastic for enjoying Dana Point, Doheny Beach and Baby Beach. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we ended up extending our stay another night.
Nothing that negatively affected our stay. We had a great experience and would happily stay again.

Close to Doheny Beach and some decent restaurants. Close to Catalina Express ferry.

Rundown condition of everything. Minimal maintenance everywhere.
It was pleasant that my stay in the hotel was clean, with easy access to the beach, good service for check-in, and I feel satisfied as a customer.
I think it needs more varieties on breakfast, which is potentially an opportunity to upgrade meels for breakfast!
Location is excellent. The room was very comfortable. Good breakfast selections. Front desk very nice and professional.
Parking limited, after our night out we came back around 11:30PM and I think we got the last spot. A microwave would be nice. Coffee maker did not work. Nearby construction, noisy.
The location was the only positive thing about this place
It was extremely dirty. The first room they tried to give us had peanut butter smeared all inside the fridge and there plastic silverware stuck in it. There was black mold all over the bathroom specifically in the tub area. The floors were wet and the oder from that was disgusting. The beds were very uncomfortable as well.
Excellent location in the Dana Point Marina. Walking distance to a variety of restaurants. Free on site parking.
The roperty is really run down, and in very shabby condition. The public areas are dirty and not very attractive. The rooms are worse - bathroom shower/tub deeply stained, rust on the fixtures, plaster peeling off the walls from water damage. The bedroom furniture was in very poor shape, either broken or banged up! The breakfast room (where included breakfast was held was dirty and with several broken and damaged furniture both inside and on the patio. We refused to eat anything. I complained to the front desk clerk and was offered a room upgrade (from the Deluxe King Marin View room we had booked. The new suite was much larger and a little cleaner overall. However, no maid service was provided, we had to go to the front desk to request fresh towels each day. Strange? I've booked probably 50-60 hotels through Booking.com, the world over for decades, and this by far was the worst we ever have experienced. Rated a 7.00-7.5 hotel, not even close! We have always trusted Booking.com's hotel ratings, in this case they really missed the mark. And,I have picture evidence to prove my point.
