The breakfast was good, and the neighborhood is quiet and pleasant. However, the hotel is not very centrally located, which is something to keep in mind.

Cons:

The room was outdated and quite worn, and clearly needs renovation. The lack of sockets near the bed was also very inconvenient.

I am a person who goes to the low score reviews first which is why I have ticked this box for my review. I had read the negative reviews on this hotel and I nearly did not book it because of them. However I have to say that I had a really positive and pleasant stay at this hotel. The staff were really lovely and helpful. I knew I had booked a single room and would get a single bed and do when booking expect this if you book a single room. The was slightly larger than a standard single bed and the room was lovely and bright snf contained all I needed. I thought I would just use the room to sleep, however I had a very pleasant time reading at the desk beside the window and looking out at the world. For the price I paid I really could not fault the room, it was spotlessly clean and was bright and modern. l am so glad I stayed here and relieved I was not put off by the reviews

There is a very good bus service near the hotel. Termini is a short walk though with bags it can feel longer than it is!! .

Cons:

The stairwell and corridor do need new carpets, there are aspects of the hotel that are quite dated, however it is not a sterile/ clinical space and for the price I would forgive an old carpet. There are no wardrobes in the room. This didnt bother me as hangers are provided…. Though some women may find this unsatisfactory depending on what they are trying to hang. However for the price this really is a minor matter.

There is an adult cinema just around the corner from the hotlel…. The hotel cannot control that. I did not see anyone loitering and it wasn’t ‘ in your face’ but I am just letting women / families know about it. You can approach the hotel from another road and so avoid passing it, however I would feel it was remiss of me if I didn’t let people know.

Just also to flag when I made my way TO the hotel ftom termini station I came a pleasant route, however when I departed for termini the next morning I went a different route ( separate to where the adult cinema is. I came across an small section of an area on this route that I felt uncomfortable in: it looked like an old hotel closed some time ago and thot squatters use the vacant property , there were a lot of people sleeping/ sitting on mattresses on the pavement in the surrounds of the closed up hotel . It was ten forty five in the morning. No one bothered me and it’s not the fault of the people who have no homes. I do not wish to show any disrespect or judgement on people who have no homes, I feel for them, especially after my lovely cosy night in the art deco hotel, however I still felt nervous as a lone woman who was obviously a tourist. So just research the route you take to / from the hotel. I suggest emailing the hotel in advance to ask their advice.

I really enjoyed my overnight at this hotel. And wish to thank the staff because I am sure it is very discouraging when they read the poor reviews.
