Cons:

I've stayed at this hotel quite often. I've stayed here about 10 times in the last year. Great location, good breakfast.
But the last time, there was an incident – ​​money was stolen from my room.
I understand it's my own fault for not putting it in the safe. But I was leaving for a marathon at 3 a.m. and wasn't paying attention, leaving my bag on the table. Overall, I trusted this hotel.
The thieves didn't take all the money, just half. They probably hoped I wouldn't notice.
The hotel conducted an investigation and identified the cleaning staff who had entered the room.
They administered a polygraph test, and the test found no fault on the part of the staff.
I still haven't received my money back.
Be careful. Don't be like me.

We had a beautiful stay,stuff was warm and alert and kind.
Pros:

The rooms and the stuff was top tier especially the gentlemen working with guests at the door and front.

Cons:

The menu needs more versatility as well as breakfast options.

One week City break.
Pros:

We had a fifth floor loft room .Very spacious with a large bed on the mezzanine floor and bathroom.
Downstairs kitchen/dining area and 2nd toilet.
All the staff were kind and receptive. Standard international style plentiful buffet breakfast.
Evening dining room served quality fresh cooked food off a limited al'acarte menu (or AYCE buffet if preferred) at reasonable cost . We ate there most evenings.
Small pool outside the rear of the hotel.
15/20 minute walk to the V&A dock area or City area in the other direction.

Cons:

The area in the daytime seemed reasonably safe to walk if you kept to the main streets, but parts of the Central bowl seemed intimidating. The staff advised us not to walk out at night . So we didn't. Take an Uber if you must.
The hotel is on a busy road so expect muted traffic noise, although less in the early hours.
Our room had two issues. We were on the top floor and although our Aircon was switched off ,there was a continuous low drone from hidden service/ ventilation ducting somewhere in the roof area ?? Not good if you are a light sleeper.
And for a big room the lighting was inadequate. An extra stand lamp wouldn't go amiss.
Some of the bulbs in the main light were fused , and we asked about getting them replaced. A staff member came to look, but nothing was done for the remainder of our stay?
A near perfect stay but for these issues.
