The room was good,and having the fan on before my arrival was a nice touch

Cons:

The absurd amount of messages before and after the stay, some containing wrong information. All the stairs and the lift not working

All the members of staff were lovely and professional. Abdul, who was at the reception desk at check-in, was exceptional for his effective communication and warm approach. Please, give Abdul a pay rise on my behalf, lol.

The hotel is also centrally located, making it perfect for events in the city centre.

Cons:

There is no air conditioner in the room, but Abdul sourced an extra fan, which was very helpful. There was a strong, unpleasant odour in the hotel and in the room, and I am unsure if it was due to the cleaning agent or spray. Whatever it was, it needs to be addressed!

Himanshu is the best at Aston Court

I had a wonderful stay at Ashton Court Hotel in Derby, and a big thank you to Himanshu for making the experience so enjoyable. From the moment I arrived, he was professional, courteous, and always willing to help with a smile. His friendly attitude, attention to detail, and genuine commitment to excellent customer service really stood out. He made me feel welcome and ensured everything went smoothly throughout my stay. Staff like Himanshu are a real credit to the hotel. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend both the hotel and Himanshu's outstanding hospitality.

Good place to crash for the night, but some improvements are needed.
Pros:

Good location and beds were comfy.

Cons:

The room had an awful smell, like cat pee which made us think there was possibly damp in the room somewhere.

The carpet was also wet in various spots around the room.

Upon arrival the price of the room was more than what was advertised on booking.com.

A little bit dated.

The staff were excellent! They were friendly and willing to help, that included all the staff we spoke to, reception, cleaning and bar staff

It’s very very tired! Needs a good clean and a refurbishment!

OYO - I booked through booking.com and expected all my interactions to be through them, however I got a dozen emails and text messages from OYO asking me to pay in advance, get a PIN code to check in, check in in advance!

I reported this to Booking.com and was told to ignore them, in addition I spoke to the Hotel direct who stated it was. “Glitch in the system”

It was exceptionally annoying!
