Tout est au meilleur niveau au Grand Hôtel de Lodz : un magnifique bâtiment, rénové façon Chippenfield (le dernier cri pour les équipements, mais en laissant transparaître les traces du passé) ; un espace thermal en sous-sol digne des plus belles villas de Pompéi ; des chambres sous quatre mètres de plafond ; un personnel polyglotte, et même francophone, qui est aux petits soins, tout en sachant garder la retenue discrète des Polonais ; un chef qui prépare des petits déjeuners, des déjeuners et des dîners simplement gastronomiques.
