Comfortable stay in a nice area of Roscoff

Cons:

Having upgraded this time to a room with a sea view, the impact of a very tired room, especially the state of the carpet and radiator did disappoint.

Parking can be tricky with only a 90 min stay outside the hotel and you may need to pay for parking in the nearby car park

nous avons particulièrement apprécié la situation, en plein centre-ville, tout en bénéficiant du calme parfait la nuit;
le petit déjeuner copieux et de qualité ; l'ascenseur ; le confort de 2 chambres

Cons:

le parking est relativement loin ( 300 m) mais on bénéficie d'un arrêt-minute
L'une des 3 chambres réservées ne correspondait pas à l'attente : petite, lit en 140, salle de bains non rénovée;
c'est dommage, car les 2 autres méritaient une meilleure note!

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to make a formal complaint regarding the unacceptable and wholly unsatisfactory accommodation provided to us at the Ibis Roscoff Bord de Mer on 5 September 2026.
We paid £103.65 for our stay and were allocated Room 100. The condition of this room was, quite simply, unacceptable and completely below the standard that any paying customer should reasonably expect from an Ibis hotel.
The attached photographs clearly document the condition in which the room was presented to us. In particular, the bathroom was in a very poor and unhygienic condition, with visible mildew and other defects. The wardrobe was positioned next to the toilet, actually within the bathroom area. This was not a matter of personal preference or minor cosmetic defects; the room was not of an acceptable standard and, in our view, was not fit for purpose as hotel accommodation.
We immediately raised our concerns with the receptionist after checking in and paying for the room. The receptionist personally inspected Room 100 and accepted that the condition of the room was unacceptable. The hotel attempted to find us another room, but the hotel was fully occupied. An attempt was also made to find alternative accommodation at another hotel, but none was available.
We were therefore left with no realistic alternative other than to remain in accommodation that the hotel itself had acknowledged was unacceptable.
The consequences of this were considerable. We were unable to use the bathroom facilities as we would reasonably expect to. We did not shower because of the condition of the bathroom, including the visible mildew and the general state of the facilities. More importantly, we were unable to properly relax or sleep and the entire experience caused considerable inconvenience, frustration and distress.
We paid for a clean, safe and properly maintained hotel room. That is not what was provided.
I therefore consider that the hotel failed to provide an acceptable standard.

Ok... near ferry, but didn't get what I had booked
Pros:

Couldn't have breakfast as had to leave at 0630 for the ferry.
Parked up the road, about 5 minute walk

Cons:

I booked a disabled access room on ground floor, was given a first floor room... receptionist couldn't understand my issue, so had to accept first floor room
