My stay at Munkebjerg Hotel was the best experience I've ever had travelling throughout Europe.

Die Lage hat uns sehr gut gefallen, zwar außerhalb, aber dicht am Wald und ein sehr schöner Blick auf den Fjord

Zimmer war bei Ankunft nicht richtig sauber, das Zimmer wurde während des Aufenthalts nicht gereinigt. Mussten für den Hund pro Nacht 500 DKK bezahlen angeblich wegen extra Reinigungsaufwand. Beim Frühstück waren alle Tischdecken sehr schmutzig und wurden nicht gewechselt. Tisch war nicht eingedeckt. Personal nicht sehr freundlich kam kein Hallo, nur auf den Bildschirm geschaut. Es war sehr hellhörig.
Die Zimmer sehr altbacken aus den 70er Jahren

Tennis court for free if you bring your own gear. Really excellent.
Ample selection of tasty Danish pastries for breakfast.

Cons:

Danish people seem to have a hard time respecting parking regulations on the hotel's premises. Would have been nice with whipped cream or ice cream with the waffles and pancakes for breakfast. The garden and view felt a bit under utilized with no clear or easy access. The garden seemed to lack some connecting walkways/paths. A big outdoor pool with a bar overlooking the bay would have been so cool. The tennis court could use a bit of tlc as balls could roll under the fencing in a few spots. The bacon, scrambled eggs and sausages could have been complemented by something more, maybe potatoes or mushrooms? Airconditioning is getting important even in the Nordics with the current climate.

Grosse Enttäuschung, definitiv kein 4 Sterne Hotel

Schöne Lage oberhalb von Vejle mit Blick auf den Fjord.

Cons:

Das Zimmer ist dringend renovierungsbedürftig: Alt, abgewohnt, Kratzer und Schrammen überall. Die Schiebetüren des "Schrankes" sind extrem schwergängig. Der Teppichboden ist schmutzig. Obwohl bei Check-in notiert erfolgte keine tägliche Zimmerreinigung.
