Location was good for us and our visit to the motorpoint arena, just an easy walk. Most of the staff were friendly and helpfull. Able to offer advice and direction when asked. Restaurant staff were good company as they didn't seem to be so busy when we visited at 7pm on the Friday evening. The staff at reception were very different in their communication skills and on our second day we managed to speak to a member of staff who could see reason and treated us as individuals and what had been an issue the day we checked in was resolved and so we were able to enjoy our stay without a big cloud over our heads.
Being treated like idiots and spoken to like we were in the wrong over a booking error which was not anyone's fault, just a booking error.
The executive room we were in was opposite a night club entrance/exit so the room was noisy till early in the morning. ok if you are a night club person, not so if like us you like to be asleep by midnight. Neighbours who don't close their door with care for others when they return to their room in the early hours.
The executive lounge was poor in it's offerings in my opinion, it was well maintained while it was open but not a great deal of choice, food and drinks pretty basic.
The bedroom was looking tired and the bathroom too, shower had little pressure and I was thankfull not to need to shampoo my hair as it would have taken an age to rinse. Toilet needed more than 1 flush so not sure how they are managing to save water on single flushes.

Great location and vibrant city
The location was excellent but the room was very run down and needed some maintenance doin the room was very run down needs lock paint and blind was dirty along with stains on. Carpet room smelt fusty
The run down room and we paid for best room with a city view which we looked out just to a tall building the walls in room need attention amd the loft door looked very old scruffy along with blinds on .the the day of checking out there was a member of staff on reception with a mustache like grey black hair he was very rude arrogant not friendly at all never smiled once
