Elegant, welcoming hotel.
Pros:

Very attractive, elegant hotel, combine with a welcoming, relaxed feel. Several beautiful sitting areas on the ground floor. My single room did not feel cramped, and had a bath! which I prefer to a shower.

Amazing lady manager who upgraded us & couldn’t do enough to make our stay amazing
Room was beautiful as was hotel - full of character & decorated superbly

The hotel downstairs is fine, but the paint work upstairs is looking tired.
Pros:

Staff were pleasant, evening meal & breakfast were enjoyable, although the menu is the same as last year for dinner.

Cons:

The bedroom could have been cleaner ie. cobwebs on the ceiling, skirtings in the bathroom needed a clean.
The room was hot & the window would not open any further so we had a fan running all night.

enjoyable stay
Pros:

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Lots of lounge areas to sit in and the food was excellent. The hotel is very central.
