Wonderful stay at Blue Orchids
Pros:

Ocean front room, great views with two pools which worked great for us- I love the ocean and my husband prefers the pool - they were steps from each other. Staff were all friendly and some truly made our stay ( Reggie, Joseph and Latoya were spot on, there was another lady on the security team who was a true sweetheart), The kitchen was stocked well enough. You do need to buy all your own food/drink and this may be an issue for some but Massy is just up the street so we had coffee and breakfast on or ocean view patio each morning and cold cheap banks ( not bar prices) in the evening. I did see some complaints about bathrooms in need of repair or lack of warm water however this was not a noted issue for us. Also the elevator functioned perfectly the entire time. The location was ideal we mostly stayed at the semi.private hotel beach but Accra/ Rockley beach was a few 100 meters away and Worthington Beach was not far either. Many food options in close proximity to fit all desires - commercial food truck, street food ( home cooked meal served from a van at 20 BBD a pop and enough food for two days), restaurant chains( Chafette / Bubba/ KFC/ Burger King / Little Caesars) or finer dining at Champers/ Tapas etc. Oistins is also a quick bus taxi Ride away. Can't speak to the onsite restaurant. All in all we were quite satisfied with our choice

Cons:

As mentioned in other posts gym amenities are limited ( 2x treadmills, a recumbent bike and a weight machine) but there is a great board walk that many run/ walk for exercise however if you lift the gym will definitely not meet you needs.

The street noise can be heard from some rooms but we just closed our bathroom door and that helped reduce it.

One morning house cleaning staff were quite persistent when knocking on our door in order to gain entry to clean the room. This is the only incident that bothered me. I am on vacation and don't expect to have someone persistently knock on my door to clean nor do I expect it to happen before 9 am. Point for hotel to consider.

I liked the room sea view, the easy access to beach/pool. Nice food in the restaurant

Good for a relaxing but simple getaway.
Pros:

Location- walkable but many forms of transportation available. Staff. Layout of room. Breakfast options were good. More private beach- lovely.

Cons:

Outdated appliances and fixtures. Need to update payment polices. No prepayment was charged. Card on file wouldn’t work even though charged and pending. Created stressful check in. Gym needs huge upgrades and better upkeep/cleanliness.

Great hotel to relax and unwind.

Great boutique hotel. Very clean and well kept.

Na een stroeve start uiteindelijk prima verblijf gehad
Pros:

Prima hotel pal aan het strand met mooie tuin en zwembad met direct uitzicht op zee.
Kamers met eigen keuken, wel ietwat outdated maar voorzien van alle gemakken, mooi groot balkon met zeezicht.
Op 600 meter loopafstand klein winkelcentrum met supermarkt en restaurants.

Cons:

Wij kwamen net aan vanaf de luchthaven met zware koffers en kregen een kamer op de 3e verdieping, de lift was kapot dus mochten we alles zelf naar boven dragen, niet echt een warm welkom.
Wij hadden een tweepersoons kamer met tweepersoons bed geboekt maar bij binnenkomst in de kamer bleken er 2 losse/aparte bedden te staan, dit werd na melding bij de receptie uiteindelijk wel hersteld en tot tweepersoons bed omgetoverd.
