Great boutique hotel. Very clean and well kept.

Top Unterkunft direkt am sauberen traumhaften Strand.

Prima hotel pal aan het strand met mooie tuin en zwembad met direct uitzicht op zee.
Kamers met eigen keuken, wel ietwat outdated maar voorzien van alle gemakken, mooi groot balkon met zeezicht.
Op 600 meter loopafstand klein winkelcentrum met supermarkt en restaurants.

Das Hotel liegt an einem schönen Strand, der Meerblick ist grandios. Ein gepflegter Garten umgibt es. Die Zimmer sind praktisch, gemütlich und landestypisch eingerichtet. Die Mitarbeiter an der Reception sind sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich.

I'm actually unhappy awarding two stars. We love this hotel for its location and views. The staff are helpful (most of them) and the on site cafe is perfect - run by a beautiful friendly woman and her team.
So why two stars?
We booked this hotel this year because we've been here before. Price wise it was no cheaper than other locations.
We arrived from the UK to find that the lift was not working and we were placed on level 3 (top) no porters and no alternative but carry two cases up three flights. Reception were totally disinterested.
We later learned that the lift has been broken since March.
No pre warning that there were building works in the hotel (builders were all decent guys and no problem) but building noise all day every work day.
No water one day and again no real interest from reception (pressure returned after builders left for the day!)
This is a great location and a good hotel and it didn't dampen our enthusiasm for barbados - BUT i would have expected advance notice and reasonable alternatives to be offered due to builders and lift. Sorry

We had a great stay in Blue Orchids hotel.
If you're looking for a good hotel, clean room, excellent view and great location - it's a place for you. It's not luxurious by any means but that's not what we needed. We've stayed in the area before and enjoyed Blue Orchids more than our previous accommodation (Worthing Court) due to the outstanding view from the balcony. The rooms are spacious and have everything you might need. Comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen and ok bathroom.
The staff are very friendly and happy to help.
The only thing I would not recommend is the hotel restaurant - small portions, service fee added on top of the bill and compared to options you have outside the hotel - mediocre and expensive.
There are loungers and umbrellas available on the beach and two swimming pools you can use. Not much noise from the road although you can still hear the cars during the day.
The lift didn't work which did not bother us but I have seen some reviews with people very disappointed by that so if it's important to you - maybe ask for a room on ground floor. Wi-Fi in our room worked but was a bit spotty - we were on the 2nd floor (or 3rd floor if you consider ground floor 1st) but some guests from the floor above us said it did not work at all in their room.
We will definitely come back if in the area. Good budget friendly option.

nice hotel. But the staff really need to be train properly like Sharon and melissa just loud and unapproachable. But the hotel was nice, food was amazing the lady's at front desk were lovely. I had a lovely room attendant name Shanee did a nice job with my room.

Hotel rooms are dated, tired and in need of new furniture and fittings, broken toilet seat, ripped chair and a cooker that we had no confidence using. The towels are old and worn out. On arrival our room had an issue and we had to spend the first night in a different room living out of a suitcase. This was up 2 flights of stairs and the lift does not work. Apparently hadnt been working for ages! We kept our beach towels for the whole holiday as whenever we asked for more at varying times of day we were always told 'you've come at the wrong time'. Went without a tea towel for 3 days despite requesting replacement at reception. Trued to do a currency exchange but they wouldnt accept a card payment, I was told sharply that it was 'cash for cash'. We were on the ground floor and there was rubbish left outside our room every morning. To be honest everything was TOO MUCH trouble for the reception staff and with their apathetic attitude towards us we gave up speaking to them. We paid extra for a sea view, when we arrived we realised that every room has a sea view! The security and maintenance staff are the best thing about it. Would never stay again, waste of money even for a 3 star hotel.

Pros; Good location! Within walking distance of small mall and shops. Starbucks opposite!

No welcome drink on arrival or in the room

I was on the third floor and the lift was not working. According to staff it hadn't been working for over a month.

No menus in the room or QR code on the fridge as they suggested

Kettle head was cracked. This was reported but I never got a replacement

No tea and coffee in the room as with most other hotels. You have to bring your own.

Room needed and deep clean and updating. Old fixtures and fittings, cracks in floor tiles.

I had a leak in my toilet on my second day

Very poor WiFi. Had to log in a few times a day everyday whilst there. Raised the with the front desk.

They took a security deposit of 350 BDS that I was told was a hold. The money actually came out of my account straight away! Only got it back a few days ago and it was less that what was actually taken from my credit card. Manager never got back to me when raised as a concern. Still trying to resolve

For the record I travel to Barbados minimum of once a year so I am no novice when it comes to staying in hotels. It was my first time at this hotel due to having to book a hotel last minute to attend a funeral.

This was our first stay at the Blue Orchids. After spending 10 days here, we can understand why we met other guests who have stayed multiple times at the Blue Orchids. We found all of the staff friendly and helpful. Super location in the Worthing area. Able to walk to beaches, to restaurants when we didn’t feel like cooking and for grocery shopping. When too far to walk, it was easy to catch a bus. Will be back!

Excellent ocean view room ideal for overnight stay 20 minutes from airport. Champers restaurant nearby outstanding for dinner and lunch. Tika bar nearby great for drinks.

The elevator to my 4th floor room was broken (not operating).
The dining room is now run by a young couple who have an excellent chef who prepares excellent cuisine.
I have stayed at the hotel for many years and always come back.
