ALL Staff were very friendly, professional and helpful.
The Functions Manager took great care of us, the Food and its presentation was "fabulous".
Catering staff and office staff were great.
Having water fountains available throughout the hotel was a great idea.
The carpets on the functions floor (mezzanine) and function room were "Very dirty". I understand they are scheduled for a clean but not a good look for guests and the general public.
Having to buy a bottle to have water in your room seemed odd.
Loved our stay at this Hotel Grand Chancellor as you are so close to all the attributes Adelaide CBD has to offer. For example, the iconic Rundle Mall, Sky Casino, public transport ( which is free in the CBD ) and a huge array of cafes and restaurants scattered all around the streets and laneways. The room was spacious and the bedding comfortable. The hotel offered an excellent pool, bar and restaurant, with happy hour on daily. The included breakfast each day offered a lot of variety and was plentiful.
No complaints to speak of.
Facilities were clean, functional and comfortable
My stay was all too short
Location
On Monday night was Iserved some wedges, some of which I ate. However through the night I had a grumbling stomach
When I got out of bed on Tuesday I vomited twice regurgitating the whole of the wedges I ate the night before. I reported the problem to reception. On Wednesday I opted for a full breakfast. Unfortunately, everything was cold - bacon, sausages, baked beans and scrambled eggs were cold as were the plates. Obviously, significantly below my expectations. So, although much of what was fine at the hotel those two issues spoilt what could have been an acceptable visit to a hotel that I have visited before
All was good .
