4* Hotel? No, kids leisure centre

The staff, they were lovely

Cons:

Where does one start...? 1) Nowhere to hang anything in the bathroom, nor place toiletries. One had to place the towel on the floor when using the shower. 2) The walls were paper-thin, so we slept little. Beds and pillows were awful and uncomfortable. 3) Stayed 2 nights. Put on the door "please refresh room/change our towels/replenish coffee" around 9 am, yet despite 4 requests and 5 returns to the room, at 2.30 pm the room still hadn't been cleaned. We eventually gave up, went without coffee and used the same poor quality towels.

Upon arrival, it felt like we were staying in a school's leisure centre, and it wasn't what we expected. Will not be returning

Cons:

The room wasn't cleaned, the towel rail was missing, there was no privacy curtain. If there is no room service cleaning that should be made known, at the bar maybe a sign to say we only serve at this area

Poor customer service
Pros:

Customer service at reception was poor, I'm still waiting for a receipt for parking nearly 48 hours later. Tom appeared keen to tell me anything to get me out the door without a receipt for my payment. Left a bitter taste after a clean room and nice lunch

Cons:

We didn't have any bathroom towels only one load knowing there were two staying there, There was no coffee or tea or milk nothing to have a cup of tea my girlfriend complained about the main light that there was only one light and that was a wall light plus the bed side lamps didn't work

Green, Green Grass of Cardiff!

Probably the best Village Hotel i have stayed in!
Greeted by a wonderful receptionist (Scottish lady)
Room, clean, plenty of natural light, a good sized room, bed and bathroom, very clean.
Breakfast good. Porridge avavilible and an order of 3 eggs not an issues. Lots of parking, great location, nice people. I wouldnt hesitate to book again. Miles better than the new Village Hotels, with thier nightclub themes, gym focus, tiny day rooms with a bizarre bathroom.

Rugby stay
Pros:

Very comfortable, staff (lady) at desk was rwally helpful and helped with any queries, rooms large beds comfy.

Cons:

Hotel was great but a little far out if I was being picky (would stay again though as it was alot cheaper on the rugby days.

Location is great
Bar staff were brilliant - but they were rushed off their feet!

Cons:

Cleaner walked in our room whilst we were changing
Don't expect us to be there as said we should have checked out by 5pm it was 6pm
We'd only checked in that afternoon for one night.
It was really embarrassing.

Walls were paper thin. Could literally hear every conversation in next doors room. So was woken up frequently by next door.
