Gym facilities were excellent, staff were extremely helpful and moved my room immediately when I mentioned the noise from the external AC units.
Not allowed to use the punchbag unless in a class even though the studio was empty the majority of the day.
Charged extra on arrival for gym access, this is not clear when booking.
Room needed a refresh, first room was unbearably noise from the outside AC units, don’t stay in 169!
Had no lights in my room for 24 hours.
Woke up to no hot water one morning but this was hotel wide and fixed in a few hours.
Stayed here lots of times over the years & it’s still the same. Nice staff, good facilities, comfortable we equipped rooms.
No air con & the fans don’t cut it
The person who cleaned my room 601 stole 25 pounds from my jeans .and I won't be going there again.
I would say this location is good for value if you're attending the city and have a vehicle. Breakfast & bar were to a good standard and the staff were very helpful.
The ventilation system in the room I was in was very loud. I changed rooms and it was the same in a different room on the floor above.

For a grand hotel its a little tired looking
The facilities especially, the pool was good.
The fan available was dusty and provided minimal relief from the heat during my night’s sleep as there was no air conditioning.
We had a wedding locally so it was perfect for our stay. Nice and clean, modern rooms, very helpful staff, on reception and in the bar and grill, especially the ladies helping with breakfast in the morning.
