- Pool was great and gym facilities are good
- Bar had big tv screens and available to sit outside.
- I did order a aperol spritz in the bar and it seems as though the bartender didnt know how to make one as it didnt have any prosecco in it (I went back to room before trying)
- sadly we didnt sleep at all. It was way too hot in the room and we had 2 fans in the room but one of them wasn't working that well so shared a small desktop fan between all of us. Perhaps our own fault as we didnt check if the hotel had air-conditioning.
Paid £240 per night for the room, and would expect some kind of air conditioning in the room for that.
Provided with first fan that didnt work. Second fan hardly did anything. Room temp was 32 degrees.
No TV remote in the room.
No bottled water in the room that has been provided on the previous stays there.
Stayed many times and always enjoy staying there
No air con in the rooms and now charging for parking and spa facilities
The location and the spa facilities
When we went into the bathroom, there was poo stains in the toilet. No air conditioning in the bedroom, making it hotter than the sun. The fan supplied was useless. Checking in was through a machine and didn’t speak to anyone. On check out the staff were rude and snatched the room key off me, without even asking how our stay was. I asked them about how the parking worked and I got told very rudely that it will be fine. Very rude staff. Customer service could be improved, please go back to humans checking you in and out. Leisure fac ilities great.
Breakfast was truly awful, only powdered eggs scrambled on offer, sausage tubes full of bread?
Swimming pool
Great location to visit Vintage fayre Whitchurch
Noisy neighbours
More signs to stipulate QUIET after 10pm
Donna at the front desk was exceptional, super helpful and welcoming, an absolute credit to the place
No aircon and no fan in our room 🥵
The room was spacious and had a good hairdryer.
The room was quite dusty in places.
The breakfast was basic - the first two cups I picked up were dirty. Sausages looked undercooked.
Room cost £500 for 2 nights and nothing was included.
Parking - extra
Breakfast - extra
Use of the pool - extra
Use of the dart board - extra
The room we booked was way too expensive . It was not worth the price we paid.
The rooms have no phones to connect to the reception
The rooms were NOT cleaned properly . Trash was not removed . Carpeting was not vacuumed for 6 days! Coffee / tea / sugar / milk was not replenished for days.
The toilet flooded in the 1st day then they changed the room which was as bad as the previous room because the toilet door lock was broken and wouldn’t close ! Disgraceful since we had paid a very high price for the room. In the middle of the heat wave the room had no fan/air conditioning!
Pool access was great.
Door lock was faulty. Poor tv reception.
Its location
Staff very friendly and helpful.
You need air-conditioning. And in the heatwave that is ongoing, child locks on the windows need to be unlocked for appropriate guests. For example a single adult.
I liked the bar and grill also the parking was easy very pleasant experience
That there wasn’t any air conditioning in the room so that made it a little uncomfortable to sleep but other than that everything was brilliant
Excellent location and great staff, clean and breakfast was great
Nothing at all - would stay here again
Comfortable bed.
In a 4* hotel I expect a fridge, a safe, a telephone to contact Reception (or other rooms), glasses in the bathroom and somewhere to hang a towel. None were available.
There were only 4 hangers.
The hairdryer was broken.
The shower was feeble.
Air con would have been expected too. It is HOT.
The restaurant was a Weatherspoons - at the price I paid I expected a decent meal.
The Breakfast was like a Premier Inn - basic.
I paid an incredible £445 and then had to pay for my breakfast!
