When booking the Dinner, Bed & Breakfast rate the reservation will include GBP 32.50 per person per day to spend on food in the restaurant. For the comfort of guests, please be advised that children aged 10 years and under may not dine in The Brasserie after 18:00 each evening. Families with children are welcome to eat in Gershwin’s Bar each evening and to select from either Gershwin’s bar menu or the Brasserie menu.

Please note that the card used for booking will be pre-authorized for GBP 1 prior to arrival. This is applicable for all reservations including guests paying with cash.

The hotel requires at least one guest in each bedroom to be aged 18 years and above and reserves the right to ask guests for valid photo ID. A maximum of two guests are permitted to occupy any one bedroom. Any stay proposed for longer than 28 consecutive nights will automatically terminate after 28 days and will need to be rebooked with the hotel as a new booking.Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian.

A very well managed hotel ideal for walking into the city centre.
Pros:

A very warm and welcoming hotel, very good open spaces in reception and bar area. Very good for relaxing. Excellent parking available and electric car chargers.

The hotel has a very good restaurant which is reasonably priced.

The hotel location and parking is good.
Pros:

The best thing about the room was the walk in shower and the decent sized bath towels. The room and bedding was clean and fresh. I did get a window that opened which I had requested on booking. Not sure when it had last been updated but you could see some touching up was needed.

Cons:

Although the room was on the small size being a classic twin, it had a sloping ceiling and heavy brown furniture and deep blue curtains making it feel even smaller. The tea tray was reasonable but only contained 1 ordinary coffee bag and 1 decaff bag, which both split in the cup, what happened to the nescafe sachets that used to be provided?

Pros:

The staff were very helpful
A good size room

Cons:

Not enough natural daylight
and the heating wasn't working they had to bring a heater up to our room
The dressing gowns were very old
Plus I would have preferred if they were in the room

Pros:

The breakfast

Cons:

The room was very dark & the heating was very noisy, as were the fans outside the bedroom window.
The bottom sheet of the bed was not fitted & was too small (not tucked in) & so became very rucked up & uncomfortable.
The price did not include parking - very disappointing!

Pros:

It's location for the train station and City was perfect. It was nice to have a relaxing experience in the Spa after our sightseeing. Comfy room and the staff were very pleasant and helpful and it has a lovely restaurant and bar.

Cons:

I can't think of anything I didn't like!
