When booking the Dinner, Bed & Breakfast rate the reservation will include GBP 32.50 per person per day to spend on food in the restaurant. For the comfort of guests, please be advised that children aged 10 years and under may not dine in The Brasserie after 18:00 each evening. Families with children are welcome to eat in Gershwin’s Bar each evening and to select from either Gershwin’s bar menu or the Brasserie menu.

Please note that the card used for booking will be pre-authorized for GBP 1 prior to arrival. This is applicable for all reservations including guests paying with cash.

The hotel requires at least one guest in each bedroom to be aged 18 years and above and reserves the right to ask guests for valid photo ID. A maximum of two guests are permitted to occupy any one bedroom. Any stay proposed for longer than 28 consecutive nights will automatically terminate after 28 days and will need to be rebooked with the hotel as a new booking.Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian.
A deposit may be required at the property.

We love the hotel, just two little things let it down for us
Pros:

It is fully air conditioned throughout. With the exceptionally high temperatures outside this was a god send!

Cons:

The shower in our room was ok but kept loosing pressure.
The breakfast doesn’t cater for diabetics. Not even a sweetener for coffee.

Pros:

Die Lage ist perfekt. Das Essen am Abend war sehr zu empfehlen. Das Zimmer ist klein aber mehr braucht man eigentlich in einer Stadt nicht. Der Garten der zum Hotel gehört war super bei dem heißen Wetter.

A poor stay.

The Staff weren't happy, there wasn't a warm greeting expect a tall guy in the restaurant. The room had broken air conditioning (on one of the hottest days), the window opened over the large aircon fans outside, the bathroom floor hadn't been grouted, the amenities were basic, breakfast was just OK sausages felt days old. I could go on, but not a good experience at all when you pay top dollar for your room.

The hotel has great potential to be a really high quality stay, let down by stingy policies of the management.

Cons:

Coffee bags were not strong enough! Also breakfast coffee machine was prone to breakdown. Also, 1 coffee machine meant that there was a longish queue.

Great stay
Pros:

Lovley staff,great pool and gym.Super handy for central Winchester.

Cons:

Air con ,control on wall but did not seem to work, as room temperature didn't alter. Perhaps a clear user guide in each room . Also if Air was working why have a fan in room?.
