The place is quite relaxed and is very close to the train station.
The airco was very noisy and so we could not sleep with it on. Also the extractor in the shower didn't work, so everything was very humidafter taking a shower. Because it is a very old building, you could hear everyone walking outside of our door. Some of the staff was very friendly and helpful, other staff members seemed to hate their job.
The hotel is just a short walk from the train station, tourist attractions, and shops. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the shower facilities excellent. The air conditioning kept things cool, and biscuits, tea, and coffee were provided. I loved the thoughtful touches, like being able to pour a glass of cold water on a hot day, plus the great selection of biscuits, sweets, and chocolates. The amenities—pool, sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi—were lovely and relaxing. The breakfast buffet had a nice variety of hot and cold options. I stayed for a couple of nights and really enjoyed it—it was great value for money.
The room had a skylight, so it was a bit dark.
Giving a disabled room first then moved to a junior suite with one small window the rest of the room was dark then nearly got burnt by the shower
Nice room excellent breakfast
Parking was a bit of a problem needed to download a app and take it from there I really struggled with this and the girl on reception offered me no help whatsoever.after 15-20 min trying to do this went back to carpark to see if I could do it another way when I read disabled badge holders free .if the receptionist had helped me it would of saved me a lot of time and stress.
La chambre était très propre , très agréable. La literie parfaite. Le spa très bien. Le personnel adorable. Rien à redire.

Lovely hotel to just relax in
Location and parking plus car charging.
Shower tray very slippery 8
Breakfast (buffet) had plenty of options though I thought lunch menu (mainly sandwiches) was rather lacking imagination. Great spa facilities including sauna, steam room and massage/facial options etc. Helpful and friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again.
Unfortunately the air conditioner in our room was right above the bed (so blew ON us) and also had a very high pitched squeal which kept me awake all night! Further out from the shopping part of town than I thought…a good 15 minute walk (in the heatwave).
Cleanliness .size of room and quality furnishings..entrance hall welcoming
Thought was more central to Winchester
Nothing really went well during our stay. The only positive was that the bed was comfortable enough and the location was very good. Other than that, the entire experience was terrible.
From the moment we booked, communication was extremely slow or non-existent. Every question or request we had seemed like an inconvenience to the staff.
When we arrived, we discovered that parking was charged separately, which was disappointing. The staff were ignorant, sarcastic, and completely unhelpful throughout our stay.
The room and the hotel's facilities were dirty and clearly not well maintained. The breakfast was barely edible, especially considering it cost £18 per person. It was appalling.
The spa facilities were equally disappointing. The sunbed mattresses were dirty, and there was dust and dirt everywhere, making the area feel unhygienic and neglected.
This hotel seriously needs investment in maintenance, much higher standards of cleanliness, and comprehensive staff training in customer service. Overall, this was a very disappointing stay, and I would not recommend this hotel or return, especially for the price they are charging.
The spa is fantastic
