Everything went well and better than I expected
Nothing bad to say
Went for a pre-booked prearranged drink in the (with)drawing room. Excellent grand hotel in a former hospital. Friendly staff. Credit to the hotel - especially the lovely generous manager Mr Devid Isabella. Will be back.
Wow. Where to start. The Lanesborough is just gorgeous. Truly one of the most beautiful properties. The history is rich and the property is simply stunning. Each room has its own story. The color schemes and design make them all so unique.
The customer service was incredible. Some of our family was moving from another hotel and they took care of them in such helpful fashion.
The thing that really stood out is everyone is treated like a VIP. But we felt this even moreso thanks to our butler, Ronald. When I say he was the nicest, most hospitable, outgoing person I have ever met. The Lanesborough is SO lucky to have him. The fact the hotel has someone like him says all you need to know! To that, everyone was just wonderful…he just really stood out in his ambition to go above and beyond.
This beats any of the other 5 star hotels in the area. There was nothing drab or ordinary. All was simply extraordinary.
The afternoon tea with fake flowers, dry untasty sandwiches, mini cakes which the chocolate one is very bad the slow service (we had to wait 30mns to be served) they could at least have served us the tea, the food is very low quality and no music the pianist is there only on saturday so very low budget place for a 5 star hotel not worth 92pds , don t do it you d waste your money!
During my stay I had breakfast, afternoon tea and evening meals. All were excellent.

Outstanding staff, incredible food, an amazing atmosphere. The best hotel we’ve been to in London by far!
Bridgerton afternoon tea!! Honestly well worth the money!! Did we like all the sandwiches no we didn’t to be honest and I didn’t like one of the cakes but at the end of the day you’re not going to like everything!! The staff were amazing and kind and went above and beyond
Lovely Bridgerton theme afternoon tea in a beautiful regency dining room. A delightful experience with impeccable service.
Disappointing Experience at the Cigar Lounge
I’m writing following a disappointing experience earlier today at The Lanesborough cigar lounge.
My friends and I (a group of four) arrived just before 9pm, intending to enjoy dinner and drinks. We were informed that, as a party of four arriving after 9pm, at least two guests were required to order cigars in order to be seated.
What was particularly frustrating is that:
• The lounge was nearly empty (only one other table occupied)
• We were fully intending to spend on food and drinks
• We had visited just days prior and were not made aware of this policy
As long-standing guests of the hotel, this felt both inflexible and unnecessarily dismissive. It’s difficult to understand why a team would turn away willing customers — especially when the venue was clearly not at capacity — rather than prioritising hospitality and guest experience.
Luxury hospitality is not just about policy, but about judgement, discretion, and understanding the value of your clientele. On this occasion, it felt like the opposite.
I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as it genuinely impacted our perception of what has always been one of London’s most respected hotels.
Sensational. Having stayed in most (not all) of the London 5* this has a warmth and welcome home like no other
Nothing
Excellent food shame about the wine prices. I can buy a bottle of Cloudy bay for £25 they charge £99 plus vat in my book that's going too far.
The food excellent and good value too.
All drinks £9for a cup of tea
And all drinks way over priced.
Love to go again but not while they rip off clients.
The hotel was amazing, with interiors that were both aristocratic and beautiful. I was given a complimentary upgrade to a fantastic suite. All the staff were very friendly and professional. I was traveling with my child, and she absolutely loved meeting Lilibet the cat. The hotel also offers a variety of activities for kids, which were engaging and enjoyable. The spa is also of a very high standard.
Overall the food wasn't amazing. They need to improve the kitchen.
Die Lage ist super, das Spa super. Sonst alles klar 5 Stern.
Es hatte Gäste (insbesondere wohl auch nicht Hotel BesucherInnen), die in Kleidung und Benehmen dem Ort nicht angemessen waren.
This is a hotel staffed with the most thoughtful people. I just wrapped up a 4 day visit and every encounter with every staff member was a master class in what spectacular service looks like. A big shoutout to three exceptional staff members who were my favorites, Daniel the concierge, Abbras the room’s butler and Kieran, the doorman, who greeted me by name at the front door upon every arrival. One thing that stood out for me was the longevity of the staff’s tenure with the hotel. The food was great, as was the room but it was the employees that made the difference for me.
