Port of the Islands Everglades Adventure Resort

Felt a bit like it had been a grand resort but now a little tired. Lovely and clean and really nice staff though. Great location for exploring the everglades and all we needed for a pleasant stay.

Tom was excellent, rooms were clean, the staff was friendly and the price was fair.

It’s like a Spanish castle with hotel rooms. The staff was awesome and we felt right at home. We rode e-scooters and went to the pool. Super relaxing and chill vibes. Will definitely stay there again on our next trip to Naples. It’s really close to Naples and Marco Island and there’s a cool bar right around the corner.

Tom gave great service. There was easy check in and check out. It wasn’t too far from stores and outdoor excursions. The inside of my cottage was a little outdated, but still had everything I needed for my stay.

The staff made this trip amazing. Tom (the manager) was extremely helpful and made sure we were well taken care of. They were not busy (off season) but they still made every effort to accommodate us (ie: bagged breakfast). He gave thought to where to locate us for best security (two women) and privacy. The room was a bit dated, but you could see the efforts they made to upgrade it and keep it clean/nice. We were so happy we booked a second night when the original plan was to stay only one night and move to somewhere else for our second night in the area. We would stay here again in a second. THANK YOU for making our mother/daughter trip a good one!

Perfect place to stay!

The lady at the front desk did her absolute best to help us check in however she did not speak English. Obviously in no way was this her fault, however, shame on management for not setting her up for success. It took us over a half hour to check in and when another employee took a minute to help her, she still had so much trouble. It is not fair to put this sweet and well meaning woman in such a tough spot with checking people in when she doesn’t speak English at all and was not well trained. A simple guide for her in Spanish would have helped her get us in. I look at this as more of a poor management issue than an issue with the staff member.
The room was somewhat clean with obvious dirt in the books and crannies such as hair in the corners of the bathroom and some grime.
Fine for a brief stay. The AC was very good and the pool was beautiful and well maintained.
Again, this employee was so kind and sweet but put in an impossible position at the front desk.

Nice... but a lot of mosquitoes!
Although front desk was nit available after 5pm, there was great communication with the clerk (phone call) that gave me instructions on how to access the lock.

Breakfast was a bag in the fridge, varied, pouch of oatmeal, or muffin, cheese stick, oatmeal cream pie, and piece of fruit. Bags we’re not identical. Minimal but nice thought. Room was clean and nice except sound didn’t really work on tv, couldn’t turn up enough to hear it. Screen porch was needed because mosquitoes were everywhere. Had some in the room even with the screened porch. But that’s what Everglades are like. I’d stay here again, clean and easy place.

The property presets itself quite well, but the room left a lot to be desired and, no restaurant, no daily room service, no one at the desk, the room ac and tv had no instructions and were difficult to use, very slow wifi, the "included breakfast" was two brown bags of wrapped cookies and etc.,
and one day there were two "pancakes-eggs w/cheese and sausage patty" that was delivered the evening before for the next morning's breakfast delivered thawed out, when reading the directions it became obvious that the sandwich was to be micro waved from frozen and by the time we discovered this, in the morning it had been thawed for over a day.....this could be sickening for real. There was no bottled water in the room for coffee, the lamp next to the sitting table was noticably damaged with the bulb holder knocked off its holder and was left unplugged. The coffie maker top was put back together wrong and it took two days for us to understand this, and it would not work properly until we fixed it. We had to ask for two extra towels on our third day there, and the shower head leaks water after being turned completely off.
The repair to the doors leading onto the outside walkway which looked like a terrace in the ads, was really just a walkway, but the two doors were visibly repaired and never painted to match after the repair. The front door to the unit would not latch so only the bolt lock held the door closed. My advise, management, stay in this unit one night, you will know.

I had requested a ground floor room when i made reservation and when i arrived he said they were all booked. My mom has trouble doing stairs and it was a real Hassel. The guy didn't seem to care. The tv wouldn't work. They didn't know how to fix it. I finally got it using my own hot spot!! Which is ridiculous!! The fridge wasn't cold but the freezer worked. We didn't have an ice bucket and they didn't have any extra. The key doesn't work for the back door of the room. So if you go out that way you can't lock it. The comforters are extremely rough and uncomfortable and no other blankets to use. The shampoo, conditioner and body wash were very watered down. Overall disappointing stay!
