Great location. Well supplied kitchen. Excellent staff.
It was hard to switch from bath to shower. Air conditioning was tricky to change. Very noisy out by pool area.
It was cosy and welcoming
Due to all the constructions and work around the property hard to access even with parking
..
..
It’s located very centrally. Rooms were spacious and neat.
The extremely loud around the clock construction noises.
Everything except the noise and inconvenience of the cross river railway. I think we should have been notified upon booking but I know it’s really hard for your business when these upgrades need to happen.
As above
I have stayed at The Sebel before and am therefore familiar with what it offers. Excellent location, great rooms and the city view lived up to expectations. All in all, a great place to stay in Brisbane CBD.
Reception staff on arrival was a little cold, but warmed up as our interaction progressed. Other than that initial bump, there was nothing that I did not like about The Sebel.
It was in a convenient location It was clean and comfortable The staff were friendly
The room was well appointed if a little small. Clean and beds were comfy. Supplies robes and slippers were a nice touch
The smell on of cooking when we stepped out of the elevator was very strong but luckily no smell inside our room.
The construction outside the hotel was not advised prior to check in. Loud construction noise around 10pm was not great.
Breakfast on the Croft House restaurant was terrible. Definitely not enough staff and after waiting 40 minutes for our food in a half full restaurant, we asked where our food was…. the order had been misplaced in the kitchen and they were now cooking it 🙄.
The room was clean and nicely presented.
There were various aspects that made my stay disappointing.
: No room service but menus for dinner and room service displayed in the room. I was not informed when I checked in of this. Why put the menus in the rooms if dinner service is not available nor room service for guests who are busy on a work trip.
: The Airconditioning didn't appear to be working properly as it was on the lowest setting and became quite warm throughout the night.
: The TV kept switching Itself off or the picture would go but the audio remained.. bizarre.
: Building works are being undertaken around the clock outside the Sebel which went all through the night with no break. Drilling and jack hammering all night were unbearable, and I had to get up at 4 am.. needless to say, no sleep. Surely a discounted room or to let guests know at the slightest. It was a very disappointing stay overall, unfortunately.
Other than this it was a nice room, clean and the bed was very comfortable, staff were pleasant, friendly and professional. Staff did offer to change rooms but I was tired and declined the offer as it didn't want people coming in the room at night while I was trying to rest.
Friendly staff, close to entertainment around the city
No extra towels near pool or sauna
Location and comfortable beds
We requested single beds and got upgraded to a room with one bed. The 6th floor smelled like something had died in there. We got moved to another room but had to wait for it to be ready. The shower was really annoying to use having to pull the pin for it to change from tub to shower and the towels were not very good
Very central, great setting to see the city.
Can’t make any negative comments. Lovely stay.
Location was excellent as were the staff
The bathroom mirror lighting was not the best for makeup application.
staff were helpful, good central location
Beds were not very comfortable
Noise from building works nearby late into night
