Staff and spa
Late chick in 3:30 price very high without breakfast
Everything like usual when we stay at the Royal Crescent Hotel. Exceptional ! Staff lovely, helpful, discret.
The Royal Crescent Hotel in Bath is outstanding! It Has the most gorgeous grounds a beautiful restaurant and bar, rooms are spacious and appropriately decorated as well. The fitness and spa are modern and peaceful. The hotel is right in front of a beautiful park/green space that people spend time at in the evening and easy walking distance to town. It was such a peaceful and relaxed experience after having spent almost 4 days in a very hectic London. We felt like we were being spoiled and a bit transported back in time yet with classic, modern amenities. My husband and I went for our 30th wedding anniversary to Amsterdam, London and Bath. Having this as our final stop was the cherry on top!
We got a roomnin the basenent apwhich was so claustrophobic! And were asked to pay extra 80 pounds (and did so) in order to get a room in the 1st floot
Staff were amazing and genuinely friendly, professional and helpful
No dislikes
Splendid location, airy Georgian public spaces, very welcoming staff. Will revisit. I stayed alone, as I have before, and found the hotel ideal for the solo traveller.
Have visited many times. A beautiful hotel and location. Very friendly, efficient staff. The rooms are immaculate with a lot of attention to detail.
Nothing to dislike
We wish we had stayed longer. The staff was so helpful and the property immaculate. Our 7-year old was treated with such kindness and attention. He loved it there.
We love the RCH. The gardens and service are excellent. We chose to get married here for a small ceremony and had a fantastic time: the team made sure we used dog friendly rooms, the team organised a tasting menu with wine pairing and it was very well thought out around old people and lack of mobility. They acquired the wine we wanted. We told the RCH we wanted a low stress, low drama highly executed event. Both Carisma and Joss were brilliant at the organisation. I loved staying in the hotel. The rooms are great, airy. Breakfast is good. The gardens are beautiful and the location is prime Bath. Great spa too.
Another lovely stay at the Royal Crescent Hotel.
The quality and service is always exceptional, as was the breakfast and afternoon tea.
We will be back next year!
While the hotel is lovely and staff extremely friendly we had a shock with our bill at the end of the stay.
We discovered we had been charged over £200 for someone else's evening meal.
Once we pointed this out the lady at reception seemed a bit put out and said I will check.
She then said but you have signed for it.
We still said it's not our dinner bill and we pointed out to her that they had in fact listed our own dinner bill as a lunch bill (we didn't have lunch that day) to then "accommodate" someone else's dinner bill on to our account!!
On closer inspection she realised surnames were similar but not the same so obviously signatures were different also. She checked and obviously they were in a different room.
She then said...Oh I will remove that off your bill as if she was doing us a favour.
So what had been a lovely stay was spoilt at the end.
So please ensure your staff double check receipts correctly and not just glance at names. Luckily we spotted it but others might have just paid .
Full of character, beautiful gardens, amazing restaurant and outstanding service plus an unsurpassable location. What more can you ask for?
Excellence in confort , location , services & food .
The garden , very much "english" , is magnificent .
Breakfasts as well as dinners were memorable .
We were walking past on Friday 5 June 2026 and gingerly decided that the four of us might consider having a drink at the bar. We were not exactly dressed for somewhere as plush as this but the staff made us very welcome and directed us out across the rear garden and into the bar avoiding the wedding party which was taking place. When we got into the bar all the tables were either occupied or could not seat four of us. We decided to sit on the four bar stools and relax there at the bar.
Drinks are expensive to say the least and we were not prepared for the prices they charge!!! We had one can of Guinness zero alcohol at £9. One can of 0% Days Lager at £8. One can of BBF Gravity Pils at £9 and a glass of Soda Water at £4:50. As you can imagine we only had the one drink each and then continued on our walk around Bath.
Our waitress was the very friendly and efficient Rianna and she was a real credit to this establishment. Thank you for a lovely experience and savouring what can only be described as a truly opulent and unique Hotel & Spa
We had room 23 in this hotel for several days exploring Bath and Jane Austen abodes. The hotel built in 1755 has been somewhat modernized with a beautiful interior garden. Restaurant is very good, but our mattress was a little saggy in the middle and should be replaced for a 5 star. But overall a good experience in a great location.
We have just returned from two nights at the Royal Crescent. Our stay was wonderful from start to finish - whilst the hotel is absolutely beautiful and wonderfully furnished it was the staff who really made it. Nothing was too much trouble and they were all friendly and helpful.
