Nice and modern facilities. Friendly staff in hotel and health club.
Not being able to control heating and air con in room but was offered an electric fan.
Not getting a dining table even after booking a timeslot for breakfast. Some basic items like plates and spoons not sufficiently available at 930am and having to hunt down a member of staff to rectify. Staff using coffee machine during breakfast service is totally out of order whilst hotel guests are waiting!
The staff here are all exceptional!!! We were checked in by Sarah who was wonderful. Kelly from housekeeping is a gem of a human who helped us out with robes and the TV remote that wasn’t working. Nathan at the pool/spa was lovely and really did make it easy and inclusive for people like me who have a medical condition to access the facilities. The decor of the hotel is lovely, all the staff are helpful and kind which made the stay a wonderful one. The breakfast is buffet style but not a lot of additional options for veggies and the machine coffees (included in the £25 breakfast) were not very nice but there was an array of lovely teabags on offer. The rooms were well equipped with a steamer and the shower was a great experience, the bath is also large. There were a lot of families staying with children which was great for my son. There are wonderful outdoor seating areas that would be magnificent in the warmer months.
I think it would’ve been better to have a coffee machine in the rooms (they do provide coffee bags as well as teabags) and breakfast would be elevated if one was able to get an omelette without an additional charge, as £25 for breakfast is quite steep as it is.
