While I do believe our 9-month-old was the only baby on-site during our stay, Hayfield Manor was by far the most baby-friendly hotel we stayed at during our trip. We road-tripped all around Ireland and stayed at five different hotels, and Hayfield absolutely blew us away. They had robes waiting for my husband and me, plus an adorable baby robe for our son. A beautiful little wooden crib was already set up in the room, and the staff brought all of our bags up for us and kept our car nearby in case we needed to quickly grab anything.
The staff was beyond amazing, and the breakfast was hands-down the best we had the entire trip. They offered a mix of high-quality continental options along with a full menu to order from, and you could enjoy both.
We also ate dinner on-site our first night, and it was incredible. They even had a baby food option with soft chopped vegetables and potatoes for our son.
The indoor pool was another highlight. It was the perfect temperature and such a great way for our son to burn off some energy. It was absolutely gorgeous too, with draped ceilings and Frank Sinatra-style music playing in the background.
Hotel was very clean. It was a great value for the quality of room and what you get with it. And it was very quiet and peaceful overall.
The hotel is about a 20-minute walk to Fitzgerald Park and around 25–30 minutes to the city center for food and exploring. Overall, this hotel was perfect, and we will 1000% be coming back.
Loved the Hayfield from start to finish. The staff was friendly, the ambiance was relaxing, and the food was excellent. While I had been here once before for dinner this was my first stay while on business in Cork. The room was very big and had a nice seating area so I did not have to be sitting on the bed to relax while in the room. The tub was also a highlight! While the bathroom in my room was a bit dated they did a good job maintaining it, upgrading where possible and unquestionably clean. I enjoyed the various restaurants but especially liked the breakfast which was included in my rate. So many options form the buffet plus a menu to choose from. Did not get old. Also quite appreciate the lovely fresh flowers they had in the common areas as well as the fires. So cozy.
I was recently in the Spa for a Balancing Ritual massage. I must convey the feeling of quiet peace and relaxation I felt was a beautiful change to my every day. From entering Hayfield Manor, and throughout my stay, I was treated so professionally and felt very special indeed. My Therapist was instantly trustworthy, softly spoken and very skilled in her techniques of massage. I had never had a body massage before, so this was an outstanding feeling.
I highly recommend this treatment as a deserving experience to every woman regardless of their stage in life. I will certainly be building another visit soon into my busy lifestyle.
Absolutely gorgeous hotel and staff. Our room was lovely and the hotel is really nice and luxurious to sit around.
I have been fortunate to stay at Hayfield Manor a number of times in recent years and this wonderful hotel never fails to impress. From the moment one arrives to the car park the sense of calm, attention to detail and the genuine welcome from all members of staff make it a very special place. The reception team, dining experience, bar staff, etc etc are all second to none. Returning there is like being welcomed as a long time friend and in my opinion Hayfield Manor deserves to be awarded one of the best hotels in the country! I have no other connection with the hotel other than as a regular guest and no financial benefit or otherwise has been offered to me to write this. I just believe that when one meets such genuine people in the hospitality business one needs to acknowledge this and applaud their work.

Not if you are on a Budget.
Bedding is terrible and rooms tired - wallpaper peeling off. But staff are lovely and golf putters in room lots of fun.
Every single person working there made us feel welcome. Warmth made our holiday special. Food perfect. The pool was nice.
We had a fabulous stay at Hayfield Manor. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous. It is a stunning building in lovely grounds and the rooms are all decorated beautifully and are very spacious. Extremely comfortable bed! The staff are all so friendly and welcoming, and they really do go above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. I highly recommend a stay here.
Nothing at all! Everything was fantastic.
Myself and my sister visited Hayfield manor for the SereniTea package which included a back massage, facial and Afternoon Tea. Each experience exceeded our expectations, and we loved every minute! The staff are so friendly, helpful and are a credit to Hayfield Manor. The facial and afternoon tea were particular highlights for us. The treatment, service, food and staff were second to none, and we will be back!
Wonderful luxurious location- staff are outstanding and understand customer service with a smile. The food is excellent, the facilities are spotless and we will definitely return.
Stayed here for 2 nights weekend break. Found staff to be exceptionally welcoming and attentive. Rooms were a bit dated but clean comfortable and well equipped. Food was really good and a high standard as was service. Hotel located near university and short distance to city centre. Used pool, sauna and jacuzzi which were good and robes, slippers and towels provided.
This is one of the finest hotels I’ve ever visited in my 50 years of travel. Service is excellent, staff is very helpful and kind, facilities are great, and the experience is opulent!! If your bucket list includes staying at a truly 5 star hotel (ala Downton Abbey), this place is for you.
The grounds, staff, hotel rooms-loved them all
Not enough time to take it all in!
Breakfast and other dining experiences were excellent.
Some problems with bathroom plumbing.
