Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen, Umgebung sehr schön.
Pros:

Umgebung und Ruhe ist sehr gut und schön.

Cons:

Leider habe ich übersehen dass, das Frühstück nicht inbegriffen war, und mein Freund hatte schon die ganze Nacht beschwerden gehabt und musste nachher noch 38.00 Fr. bezahlen für einen Kaffee.

Pros:

Schone en ruime kamer met een goed bed en airco. Goed ontbijt en een uitstekend restaurant met erg lekker eten. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk.

Cons:

Koud zwembad en te weinig bedjes. Koffie cupjes van de Nespresso op de kamer zijn Bellarom van de Lidl (prima te drinken maar een beetje een rare kosten besparing voor een hotel waar je 550+ CHF per nacht betaald).

Pros:

Das Hotel war sehr sauber und die Anlage mir Park und Beach Club sehr schön!

Cons:

Besonders enttäuschend war jedoch die Lage des Zimmers direkt beim Treppenhaus. Bereits ab ca. 7 Uhr morgens war an Ausschlafen am Samstag und Sonntag ca. Ab 8 uhr kaum noch zu denken. Man hörte praktisch jedes Vorbeilaufen, Gespräche, das Öffnen und Schliessen der Zimmertüren sowie WC-Spülungen. Dadurch war das Zimmer extrem hellhörig und für einen erholsamen Aufenthalt leider ungeeignet.
Bei einem Preis von CHF 750.– für das Zimmer hatten wir deutlich mehr Komfort und Ruhe erwartet.

Weiter hatte mein keine Information erhalten wo sich was befindet und die Fahrräder waren super zum benutzen jedoch werden diese leider nicht gewartet -z.b krumme räder..zum fahren nicht praktisch

Gutes 3. Sterne Familienhotel in Ascona
Pros:

Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut. Zu Fuss ist man innert 20 Min im Ortskern. Die Lokalität mit Park, Fitness und Spa sind toll und gemacht zum Erholen. Es gibt genügend Parkplätze. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und kundenorientiert. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist lecker und vielseitig.

Cons:

Die Hotelzimmer sind alt und haben dringend eine Erneuerung nötig. Das Hotel ist ein Familienhotel und von Ruhe kann hier absolut nicht die Rede sein. Kindern tummeln und kreischen im Pool, im Park, im Fitness..überall. Das Hotel ist eher gute 3 Sterne als 4. Für 4 fehlt noch einiges.

No hospitality;-(
Pros:

The rooms are never ready before 4pm reception staff is not into hospitality and no manager on site-I like the restaurant and pool but given the fact that always there’s a wait for the room shows either bad organization or cheap behaviour not having enough cleaning personell it’s my third time same experience travelling the world they made it to top spot on the list for such lack of hospitality

Excellent, up-scale hotel
Pros:

A very nice, upscale hotel with a view of the Alps all around. I had made a last-minute decision to attend the Locarno Film Festival and Locarno was all booked up, so I went with the Parkhotel Delta. In one way, it was not ideal lodging for the festival since I would be at the cinema all day and evening, and so I would be paying for a lot of amenities that I wouldn’t be using. But it turned out to be ideal, as it was a quick bus ride back and forth, and away from street noise in the town that was quite crowded with the festival.

Hotel staff were very responsive in our communications in planning the trip. Upon arrival, I found guest service at the front desk to be excellent. For example, there were a fair number of hangers already in the room when I arrived, but I was staying 12 days and a friend was with me for five of them, so I needed additional hangers. I made the request in the evening when housekeeping was presumably closed, but the front desk agent still ensured that the hangers were delivered right away.

We had a double non-balcony southside room in a building separate from the main building.The room was big by European standards, with plenty of space to move around. The room was well-designed with plenty of storage and surface space. [See photo.] It was well-lit, with both overhead lighting and a dim light, as well as a small lamp and a focused reading light at each bedside. The window opened wide. Nice desk; chair a little low for working at the desk, but it worked sitting on a pillow (and there was a third extra pillow in the room). A big bottle of water and two glass beverage cups. A small fridge, which was not super cold. Limited outlets for nowadays, with one at the desk and one at each night table. Night tables have big drawers. Large mirrors, including two full length ones, in the room. Gauze curtains, as well as black-out. Comfortable beds with good quality linens. Excellent air conditioning that was easy to control.

The bathroom is very nice, though not well-lit; great shower; towels are fine. Amenities are three large bottles – soap, shampoo, lotion – that can be moved back and forth between sink and shower. Plenty of surface and storage space in the bathroom. No tissues or conditioner, as is common in Europe. Housekeeping was excellent.

The common area in the main building is lovely and comfortable, with a lot of seating for privacy and intimate conversations. Breakfast is an expansive spread of high-quality choices. I’ve read some comments about rude food service staff. Over my 12-day stay I encountered many food service staff and only one waiter was not so nice; everyone else was congenial and efficient. I had several lunches; the food was excellent.

As I said, I didn’t use the wellness amenities, but I did see people lounging in comfortable-looking chairs and people seemed happy swimming in the pool. I also noticed a lot of very nice-looking bikes in front. The atmosphere is calm and peaceful.

It is a very short walk to the bus stop to Locarno, and the bus ride back and forth is quick and easy. It’s so convenient that the few times I had more than a couple hours between film screenings in Locarno, I even came back in the hotel just to take a break in a cool place.

I highly recommend Parkhotel Delta for excellent accommodations, congenial staff and delicious food.

Ascona ist immer eine Reise wert.
Pros:

Schönes, ruhig gelegenes Hotel mit grossem Park. Toller Service und exzellente Küche!

Cons:

Leider hatte unser Zimmer keine schöne Aussicht (auf ein Dach mit Klimageräten), was mir bei der Buchung nicht angezeigt wurde.
