Incredible location, great evening dining options, very nice bar and lounge area
Breakfast was underwhelming. Very limited selection of both fruit and hot items.
Recently refurbished, location, friendly staff
Parking is difficult
Very comfortable
Good breakfast at Darley’s.
We arrived to the smell of paint. Laundry and a vacuum cleaner left in the quest area for two days. No snooker table & litter round the property.
The staff were fantastic in finding us a room at the sister property across the road at Echoes Boutique Hotel which is lovely.
We booked our stay through booking.com and had absolutely no idea the hotel is under a massive reconstruction. The place looks, sounds and smells like a construction site and for $750 a night - you do not want to stay here. Tradesmen are outside every exit smoking cigarettes, most of the facilities are closed, and there’s construction noise all day. We were horrified when we check in and were just lucky the staff were so understanding and moved us into a better room across the road. Highly recommend you just booked Echoes Boutique Hotel across the road instead. Or at least call ahead and find out if it’s still being renovated.
Breakfast, location and staff all excellent. Dinner on Sunday was a three course offering which was too much for us. Would have preferred a simpler a la carte choice.
We had been advised work was being done at the hotel which would be limited to 9am to 3pm. Immediately before arrival hotel closed Lilianfels and Spa and while we were seamlessly moved to Echoes (which was excellent) the Spa was not available. That did not bother us as we were there to walk and Echoes and staff were excellent.
Lovely pool area and nice rooms of a good size. Great staff.
Our room (10) was great but really dark...needs better lighting
Charged full amount and facilities not working like indoor pool.
Overpriced hotel. Food was good that's about it.
We really enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and the shower had excellent water pressure with plenty of hot water. Check-in was easy and seamless, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Breakfast could be improved, as the toast and poached eggs were unfortunately cold when served.
staff were excellent
Over priced for a hotel that has not be well kept .
most of hotel was closed for renovations so they should have offers a discount rate . pool , spa and the whole
lounge area was closed ! This was not communicated when booking and was dishonest
It’s setting and location
Needs major upgrade. It’s tired
A terrible experience — absolutely below any acceptable standard.
When booking, there was no warning whatsoever about the renovation works. These included loud drilling starting before 7 a.m., with the sound of drills continuing throughout the entire day, which completely ruined what was supposed to be a relaxing holiday stay.
One of the main reasons we chose this place was the spa, yet it was not available, just like the indoor pool, due to the renovations. Again, there was no prior notice about any of these major limitations when making the reservation.
The rooms were not very clean. The slippers were covered in hair and already torn, and the bathrobes were worn out and ragged.
Breakfast was extremely disappointing — half the table was just bread, with barely anything to put on it. Even alternative milk wasn’t available unless you asked, and only then did it miraculously appear.
The service staff were very unpleasant and unwelcoming.
The location itself is beautiful, which makes it even sadder that it is so poorly managed.
Overall, it was a complete nightmare. The stay was not worth a single cent — yet it cost us around two thousand.
staff
no valet parking
Location and nice gardens
The building work and not being told before we arrived that it was going on
