These people clearly do not have a clue about customer service and more generally they have no idea about how to manage
Pros:

Looks very nice indeed but this is only skin deep.

Cons:

Bar closed at 10pm. Toilet bowl in my room was filthy. Evidently the cleaning staff there only do a very superficial job of cleaning the front of the toilet bowl only. So the bottom of the bend was stained with horrible and unsightly old poo stains from previous guests. I complained about it and in revenge the housekeeping staff claimed that I had left the room smelling of cigarette smoke and the hotel levied a £150 charge on me for breaking their “no smoking in the room” policy - which I had not done!

Our Stay
Pros:

Great location for us,room was changed for us as we wanted a room with a double bed. Reception were helpful & accommodating. Food was great & the service excellent. And the pool & jacuzzi was lovely.

Cons:

There wasn't a fridge or air con, only like fresh milk in my tea. My partner has M.S. And need her medication chilled.

Pros:

We had a lovely stay, the food was really good and the staff were lovely.

Cons:

Only down side there is no air con and it was an extremely hot day. I think the hotel would really benefit from having air con installed.

A comfortable break in Ipswich
Pros:

We had a garden room amidst the trees with parking in front of the door, it was lovely and quiet. The bed was very comfortable. Freeview TV, which I like better than all the fancy Netflix and log ins. We used the leisure facilities twice a day: swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna, nice clean changing rooms, and not too busy. We had a nice meal in the bar on day of arrival, went to Chestnut Tree Farm pub after that (about 7 minutes drive). Breakfast was good, we always like fruit in the morning.

Cons:

Breakfast finishes at 9.30, a bit early if you want to have a swim before breakfast, we would have liked it till 10 am.
No cold shower outside the sauna, either you have to go back into the changing room for one, or what I saw people do, go in the pool.
Sauna not always hot, probably to save energy
Bathroom had no ventilation and is quite small.

Pleasant stay in a beautiful building .Staff lovely and very helpful
Pros:

Great breakfast with plenty of variety.

Cons:

We were in attic room with no air conditioning and it was extremely hot. A small fan was supplied but titally inadequate. The window barely opened do it was a very uncomfortable night

A lovely hotel with excellent staff
Pros:

The front of desk staff - the man who checked me in and who helped me with the issue I had with wi fi was so efficient that it made my stay really supported. He was fantastic !

Lovely room but food and service not so good
Pros:

Booked a junior suite and it was a well appointed large room. Fridge in room and complimentary water plus the usual beverages. Patio doors leading out to a small private seating area.
Booked a table for dinner. Service was lacking as we were not asked about allergies ( husband allergic to mushrooms) nor were we asked to taste the wine. Food was overpriced and bland. No atmosphere in dining room.
Breakfast next day would have been better if quality ingredients were used. The bread was probably the cheapest available. The fruit juice was like flavoured water. The sausages were good though. The ‘fresh’ fruit mainly came out of a tin.You should also be aware that it is a buffet breakfast.
I would stay here again but would eat elsewhere.

Decent hotel with good food when visiting the area
Pros:

The food was good in the restaurant and bar, also the breakfast.
Excellent shower.

Cons:

The bed was too soft.
We booked a Garden Room but the patio was disappointing, needed a little tlc, and had two enormous uncomfortable chairs!
