We really enjoyed it and would recommend except for.
Pros:

The full kitchen, the comfortable bed in the bedroom, the great pool/hot tub, the extra facilities (laundry, library/game room)

Cons:

The sofa bed in the living room was really uncomfortable, needs a much better mattress!

Pros:

The location of the hotel is great and parking is on site. The attached restaurant Floyd's serves a fantastic breakfast.

Cons:

1, No air conditioning in August. Unfortunately even though there were plenty of portable fans the lack of air conditioning in the 4th floor room resulted in a stifling environment. There is no balcony to escape to but the window opens. 2. I booked a room with full kitchen to try to save us some money. Unfortunately the kitchen was very poorly stocked with the basic cooking utensils, not even a colander to rinse berries or drain pasta. 3. The pool was being drained. The pool was another reason we booked the hotel. 4. I received a text from the company on the day of check out asking when we were leaving. We had until 11am to check out but received the text at 8:02. I consider this poor form and poor hospitality. Lastly, 5. We discovered mouse traps under the bed side tables the last day of our visit as one was visible when sitting on the couch. We will not go back.

We would definitely stay at the Royal Scot again if the opportunity arose.
Pros:

The suite was really big. The location is great if you want to explore downtown Victoria. Staff was very friendly and helpful, when we had a problem.

Cons:

Had a problem with the bathroom but it got resolved efficiently and quickly.
