The location and everything else was good.

Cons:

My wife and I stayed for five nights.
And they put us in a room without a view and without a balcony, while the one nighters had the balconies.
That we didn't like.

Cons:

The hotel's decor looks like it hasn't changed since the 1980s. It was okay, but I was surprised at how much it cost in light of its old appearance.

Stay at the Royal Scot! There's a shuttle a short walk away that will take you to Butchart gardens.
Pros:

The suite was HUGE! Very clean. It was close to everything, even Butchart gardens! My Husband and I got the Black Ball ferry from Port Angeles. Everything was within a 20 minute walk. Except for the Butchart gardens. We took the shuttle located downtown for that and left the car at home! Everything was Awesome!

Cons:

There was No air-conditioning in the room but we opened the window and sliding the glass door and it got cooler.

Would have preferred a proper duvet on the bed instead of a sheet and a blanket.
