Spacious staff exceptional and drawing room and bar area were lovely
There was nothing
Certainly the most beautiful hotel in South Kensington, with great charm and public areas that fully match its level and reputation
In a five-star hotel such as this, charging around $450 per night, it is simply unacceptable to offer guests a 13-square-metre room overlooking a large number of air-conditioning units and their machinery. Such a view falls well below the standards one would reasonably expect from a property of this category and price level
Quiet and friendly staff
Option to include breakfast in the price of the stay
Just perfect in every way.
I will stay here whenever I visit London.
Thank you.
Beautiful hotel. The service is impeccable. Staff is wonderful. Room was very nice but a tad small. Breakfast was extremely well done. Sitting on the front porch enjoying my leftover fruit and charcuterie board from breakfast with a pot of tea was just perfect. Special kudos to Harvey, George and Mario. Thank you for treating me so special. Felt like a princess!
My sisters and I had a wonderful stay at The Kensington this May while celebrating our niece’s birthday. We would like to thank the Kensington staff, especially Thomas and Daisy, who went above and beyond with princess-themed balloons and a surprise birthday gift bag that made her day so special! Our connecting rooms were clean, comfortable, and perfect for traveling with a toddler, and the breakfast was delicious with very attentive service. We truly appreciated the kindness and care from everyone and would gladly stay again in the future!
Bed was comfortable and the shower was great.
Room was very small, only one chair in the room beside a round table and there is enough space for another chair. One person can sit on the chair and the other person on the bed, not optimal. Only one chocolate given on one bed side table; not sure why you would not give two chocolates......
Great experience! Everyone was super friendly and helpful, especially George from concierge!
Amazing experience all around. George and Idil were amazing. Can't wait to visit again!
Cold air in room at various occasions
Good location in Chelsea. Loads of restaurants, pubs and shops just around the corner. The bellmen were very helpful and friendly.
Our room was a deluxe king. It was small and in need of a refresh. The hall carpet was dirty. Needed to leave a day early and was told I had to go through Booking.com. Booking customer service was great and promptly contacted the registration desk where she was told they could not change the booking and would have to contact the reservation manager. She sent them an email request to adjust my booking and told me to check to see if they received the email. The registration desk person was rather abrupt until the desk manager intervened and found the email. He assured me it would be addressed, gave me his card and said to call him if there was a problem. When I went to check out the next morning, the desk person told me the reservation had not been adjusted. I showed him the manager's card and told me he would follow up. He tried to keep the card, but I insisted he give it back. Later that morning, I received the invoice and the adjustment had been made. This is not how a five star hotel should operate.
Loved everything about the property. The room was fabulous. The food was very good quality. The best thing about the hotel is the staff - they are all incredible.
Nothing.
The staff were all very friendly, professional and very accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. The dining and sitting areas in the main hotel are beautifully designed and decorated. This hotel is very family friendly and our daughter was given some treats and two teddy bears. The complimentary items in the rooms are excellent. You could just turn up without a toothbrush, razor or any toiletries as they are all provided together with bathrobes and slippers. The hotel is in a great location in South Kensington, very close to the High Street, Chelsea, Sloane Square, Kensington and Hyde Park, and the Museums.
Whilst I appreciate the service and the location and the ‘bells and whistles’ the only criticism would be the room. Ours was rather standard with no view for the cost of circa £450 per night. It was billed as a deluxe family room but it was a king size bed and a camp bed style for our daughter.
If it was cheaper I’d have no complaints at all but maybe that’s just the price of London hotels these days.
We had a lovely stay in any event.
Location is very central
Room was an absolute catastrophe. Very, very tiny … two people can even put their suitcases on the floor in order to unpack. Worst though was the fact, that neither the water in the bathtub nor the washing basin drained.
