We’ll be returning again soon and can’t wait!
Pros:

We loved our stay and without any doubt will be returning. A warm welcome from the doorman, Collin and staff at reception along with the excellent bar (the waiter who’s partner is from Gorseinon, thank you for taking good care of us) and restaurant staff are all a great asset to this beautiful hotel. We opted for a cosy room, it was clean and comfy. We were going to go into London in the evening, but the relaxing atmosphere here meant we spent a lovely evening in the bar and ordered a few dishes from the menu - we loved it! Breakfast was great too, a varied selection all delivered to your table. The hotel is tastefully designed with a slight quirkiness and stunning fresh flowers located around the public areas with log fires……I’m talking myself into booking another night already!!!

Great classic hotel, excellent service
Pros:

This hotel really exudes an old London charm and vibe. There are lots of great little lobby nooks and the staff really went above and beyond here to make our stay comfortable. Particularly Noel at the front desk really helped accommodate our needs and the breakfast staff really provided a five star level of support and enthusiasm.

The Kensington Felt Like Home
Pros:

The location of The Kensington was ideal for our family. There are casual restaurants and cafes in walking distance to the hotel. The neighborhood is very safe and clean and quiet compared to staying in the theater district or other high-traffic area of London. The atmosphere of this boutique hotel is very posh. The interior design, fresh flowers in the lobby and hotel rooms expresses the hotel's attention to beauty and detail. We booked two rooms on the fourth floor and could not have been more comfortable and pleased with the space, fresh linens, soft towels and bath robes, slippers, etc. Everything in the hotel is clean and you always see the cleaning ladies in the lobby or on the floors cleaning rooms. The amenities were also great - we used their laundry service once, their gym, free magazines and daily newspaper, etc. We paid for daily breakfast service and that was also incredible food and a great way to start our day. The hotel Manager, Tom, and Daisy and their entire wait staff were attentive to our needs, always polite and on time. There was never a miscommunication or mishap during our stay. The amount that we paid per night was worth every penny. We loved calling the hotel "home" for six nights - it was truly a comfortable, beautiful and happy place to stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel to another couple, group of friends or family.

Mother daughter trip done right!
Pros:

My mom and I stayed at The Kensington in December for a special mother–daughter trip to London, and it was truly unforgettable.

From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional — especially from Boyan, the Front Office Manager. He went above and beyond in every way. He upgraded my room, made sure we always had plenty of bottled water (which was such a thoughtful touch after long days of exploring), helped us with reservations, and genuinely made us feel special and cared for throughout our stay.

What truly stood out was that he followed up with a personal email after our visit. That level of hospitality is rare and meant so much to us. He is an absolute star and a true asset to the hotel.

We also had afternoon tea at the hotel, and honestly — I preferred it over Harrods! The setting was elegant yet cozy, the service was impeccable, and everything was beautifully presented and delicious. It felt intimate and refined without being overwhelming.

The Kensington made our trip feel magical, especially during the holiday season. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting London.

The best hotel in Kensington
Pros:

I was looking for a hotel for a one night stay in London at the weekend. I looked over a few options, this looked the most beautiful, and it was the best decision I could have made. The staff were incredible, and went above and beyond to make my stay such a memorable one. I live in London, this was a staycation, but I'll definitely be back. Shout out to Collin and Tom for ensuring I had the best stay. Already looking forward to my return trip.

An extraordinary gem of a hotel
Pros:

The Kensington Hotel is superbly located and the attention to detail is impeccable. Before we ever arrived, I had the pleasure of dealing with Vaibhav in central reservations who went above and beyond to make sure the Kensington was the most suitably located London Doyle hotel for this trip. Even later, when an additional room and some changes were required, absolutely nothing was a problem. We arrived from an early morning flight and the reception staff went above and beyond to look after us until our room was ready. In the most natural and professional way, the staff make you feel like you live here, they go above and beyond to accommodate requests, to provide information and to ensure that your stay is exceptional. All of the concierge and service staff were so helpful. The decor of the hotel is beautiful and the standard of the rooms is excellent. Based on my experience, I wouldn’t dream of not booking this or any of the Doyle hotels on my next trip to London. It was a pleasure to meet Thomas and to chat to the staff anytime we met during our stay. You get the impression that they know you and they are purely focused on doing anything to help. Well done to everybody in the hotel, the staff were the best I could have hoped for. Looking forward to a return visit again soon

This is the only five-star hotel in London where we truly felt taken care of, and we will definitely be coming back.
Pros:

We had the best time we’ve ever had in London during our stay here. The staff were incredibly attentive and thoughtful — we never had to explain or ask for anything because they already seemed to understand what guests needed. It truly felt like genuine, effortless hospitality.

Cons:

Honestly, nothing. Everything exceeded our expectations.
