I do love this hotel. I always stay here when I come to Colchester. It is never overly busy. The reception staff are great. Rooms clean. Bed comfortable.

Cons:

As always the breakfast staff have no customer experience. No interaction with anybody when going down to breakfast. This time the female waitress came and cleared my plate from the table but there was no verbal exchange. Just take the plates and go. I looked at her in the hope she would at least say Good Morning and engage in some sort of friendly discussion but no. Every time I come I comment on the unfriendliness of the breakfast staff but it never gets any better. Customer service and customer relationships is key, so please work on that.

Pros:

The room was clean and beds comfy. Tea and coffee in the room which was good.. we had an evening meal which was very nice and the price for that was quite good . Breakfast was ok everything you needed.

Cons:

The pastries at breakfast weren't covered and with flies around they should have been but its a minor thing and didnt put me off
