The pool, hot tub, steam room, Spa Jasper, laundry, Walter’s dining room & Hearthstone lounge will be closed from October 13, 2025 to June 30, 2026. During this period, Guests can use the pool, hot tub and laundry facilities at Marmot Lodge, and Spa Jasper will reopen at Chateau Jasper.

Cons:

my last stay was during renovations. Lobby was not in usual area and my room where I was placed, I had to move due to the sawdust smell.

Cons:

We arrived at Forest Park Hotel for a family vacation, but unfortunately our stay started very negatively.

Upon arrival, we discovered that construction work was taking place in our building. The room had a very strong smell of paint, and the window was completely blocked by scaffolding from the outside, so there was absolutely no natural light coming into the room. Although we did not see any workers outside the window that day (likely because it was a day off), the presence of scaffolding right outside the window still made the stay uncomfortable and affected our sense of privacy.

What was especially disappointing is that we were not informed about any of this in advance. This is something that guests should be clearly notified about before arrival, as not everyone wants to spend their vacation in such conditions.

Because of this, we were very upset and had to request a refund, as it was simply impossible to relax and enjoy our stay in that room.

I strongly believe the hotel administration should be more transparent and respectful towards their guests by informing them about ongoing construction beforehand.

Pros:

Rooms were very spacious and comfortable. They had ample free parking spots. It is located on the main road. Although it is a bit far to walk to Jasper downtown, this place is very centrally located and can reach restaurants and coffee shops within 2-3 min of driving.

Cons:

We did not like their "no sheet change unless you stay 4 day policy" as it is not stated anywhere online or hotel/room booklets and seems very arbitrary. We were traveling with our child and you know children... We needed the sheets changed and it took them a while to understand our situation and fix it. We appreciate their assistance albeit on the late side.
