Pros:

Overnight stop en route from London to Keswick.
We were made very welcome by reception and the room was warm, clean and comfortable, especially the bed.
The evening meal was pricey for what was basically a bar meal, but the quality was high. We would have welcomed a "Senior's Portion" as we felt unable to tackle the attractive dessert menu.
In the morning, a hot shower and a excellent hearty breakfast set us on our way.

Friendly, helpful staff, especially the gentleman who checked very promptly when we accidentally set off the alarm in our accessibility room. Restaurant staff very pleasant too.

Pros:

Friendly and helpful staff who helped bring my suitcases up and down the stairs. The air conditioning didn’t work so they sent someone up to our room to help. Whilst they couldn’t fix it, they did provide a fan which did the job and that service I found to be great and friendly.

Pros:

Incredibly welcoming and friendly staff make you feel at ease as soon as you walk through the door. Lots of parking and added bonus of EV charging points right next to the hotel for those with electric cars.

Would definitely stay again.

Misleading and Disappointing.
Pros:

The room did not at all resemble the photos attached to the hotel's advertising or the description of the room.

I booked a double room with one bed. I was given a very small, outdated room with a single bed that moved if you were not still.

Staff when checking in was pleasant.

Pros:

Staff were lovely! They couldn't do enough to help. Breakfast was average, and rooms were a little tired looking but the bed was very comfortable, and the room was clean. We'd definitely use this as an overnight stop again.

My room was unbelievably hot. The air conditioning was not working. When I when to reception to get it sorted I was informed that all the air conditioning units in the old building were not working as they were too old.

Apparently uou have to pay for a premium room which is in the newer building to have a comfortable room to sleep in.

I checked in at about 2245 and was walking out at about 0610 after not a lot of sleep
