Nice property, very friendly and helpful staff. Nice meals, we had mostly seafood during our stay. We had a smaller room with a private balcony. Nice pool area and wonderful views, particularly from the restaurant at night. The only 2 downfalls about it were the lack of tv in the room, and no dedicated beach area. I missed having a tv in the evenings. If you're a beach person rather than a pool person, I may choose a different spot. We spent a good amount of the time but laid our towels in random spots because there aren't any beach chairs available for guests here. And also no beach service, obviously. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance, and some markets to get drinks, etc.
Having travelled extensively at many nice hotels, this one is as close to perfection as one can hope for. The highest compliment I can give is that I hesitate to write this for fear of making it more difficult to book our return. We had the Mejor suite with the pool and it was stunning -- filled with history and character and romantic charm but not at the expense of luxury. The food and drinks were authentic and delicious (the lime pancakes! ) Service was like being with family. Food always arrived within 20-25 minutes and it was always perfectly prepared and presented. The hotel was not crowded, which perhaps made it easier to attend to us, but everyone was so warm and thoughtful and personal. The restaurant and infinity pool perched over Zihuataneo Bay have unforgettable views of one of the prettiest towns imaginable. I've travelled quite a bit in Mexico and this is the prefect combination of creature comforts and cultural authenticity. We spent hours in our private pool just looking out over the Bay; it felt for all the world like we were in Positano looking out over the Amalfi Coast, yet we were only a few hours from home. It was so hard to leave; our only consolation is thinking about when we will return. Thanks to all who helped make our visit so memorable.
Beautiful place with great service and very secluded. Staff is very good, Bartenders fun. Rooms are large and comfortable
Oh my goodness over-the-top let me just say there’s a reason why they received a 2024 and 2025 Michelin star award. Amazing staff that love their job very extremely kind and helpful. The grounds, the rooms, the cleanliness, the swimming pools. There was nothing at all that we didn’t like. We love the food. The restaurants the drinks like I said it was over the top. Wish we could’ve stayed bunker… Will definitely be back.
Incredible ocean views and surrounding mountains, stayed at the pool suite, it was perfect. The outside area with the loungers with your own private infinity pool.
Coffee pods and refreshments are restocked daily and are complementary.
Staff was very kind and attentive.
One of the best boutique hotels we stayed at. Highly recommend
The staff is wonderful. The resort is beautiful. Our favorite place to relax was at the saltwater pool. The food in the restaurant was excellent - they received a James Beard award in 2024z. The rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The resort is quiet, very quiet. Walk to the beach, walk to downtown shops and restaurant. Or, you can do what we did - mostly we soaked up the unbelievable ocean views visible throughout the resort, and lounged. We spent a lot of time sunning and relaxing. Can hardly wait until our next visit!
Safe, clean, peaceful, best staff, beautiful views!
Beautiful place and great service
The architecture of the hotel is truly amazing, blending so organically into the surrounding nature, allowing you to feel connected to Mexico's beauty. It's a very quiet place, and we felt a sense of being transported back in time – that classic, unhurried feel is certainly still present there, which we appreciated.
We stayed at the master pool suite called Mariquita Linda #20, and were very pleased with it. The hotel and the room itself are actually more spacious than they appear in photos, which was a nice surprise. The daily housekeeping was excellent, always keeping our space tidy, and the room service was very prompt. Not to mention, our nightly flower arrangement turndowns were a particular highlight. We loved our balcony and the pool, from which we had a nice view of the bay. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay comfortable.
Loved the private infinity pool and large patio !! Upgrade your room for your own pool- it's worth it!
This was our fourth time. Most romantic place you will ever visit. The staff without a doubt is simply the best. The view from your room at night is amazing. We will be back.
Nice staff super clean
La Casa Que Canta is beautiful. The food is delicious. The spa is excellent. The people are the best! Don't hesitate choosing this resort; you will not regret it. We must thank Teresa, Ana, Elion, Tony, Laura, Dina, Carlos, Irving, and Leonardo for for being lovely and kind people, and for making this experience better than I hoped for. We look forward to returning and spending more time in such a lovely place.
My husband and I needed a break and booked this trip two days before we left. This hotel did not disappointment. It hasn’t even been a full 24 hours and we were already feeling decompressed and fantastic. The staff are all very kind. Special thanks to Teresa for coordinating the special seafood pozole. There were only two rooms left when I booked and I selected an ocean suite and it was on a high floor with a fantastic view. The room was spacious, AC worked great, large bathroom/shower and a great sitting area. The hotel is very close to playa de ropa which is perfect. It is also close to the main town.
I really cannot recommend this hotel enough.
This was our second time staying at the most beautiful place to stay in Zihuatanejo. Why we waited 5 years to return is unbelievable. The staff is fantastic and treat you as family. Thank you’s to Teresa, Dina, Lauren, Miguel, Irving, Elion, Tony, Jared to name a few.
We upgraded to a plunge pool room. It’s like a mini infinity pool. Not just a small tub like pool. The main infinity pool and the lower deck ocean pools are wonderful too. The restaurant is excellent for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can just hideaway your whole stay. However, walking the beach of Playa La Ropa is worth the walk. Walking into town via the malecon should not be missed.
If you want a vacation that you return home completely relaxed please stay here.
We will be back sooner than 5 years!!!!
Attention to detail is what makes La Casa Que Canta special. There is beautiful artwork, ceramics, and plantings in every possible spot. Our suite, with it's own small pool, was like a resort within the resort. Access to beautiful Playa la Ropa is easy, and the hotel's two pools are both lovely. The restaurant is consistent and excellent - all with magnificent views. The service is impeccable.
Our stay at Casa was beyond our expectations. Casa a romantic. elegant, outstanding designed & decorated Resort hotel with very nice accommodations, ambiance, staff, and location. Views from our room of the bay & city were beyond belief one of the main reasons we stayed here.
Having traveled throughout the world Casa is probably our choice of our best experience in any l Hotel or Resort. We had a magnificent room (21)
with pool & outdoor lounge area.
Additionally, the two pool areas were very nice with bay views, and not crowded.
Staff from arrival throughout our stay were also exceptional.
The only negative was the Restaurant food, where a lot of improvement is needed. However, there are several good restaurants nearby, so this wouldn't deter our future stays at Casa.
We are already planning our next stay.
Beautiful views , nice room
La Casa is truly something special. We spent a few weeks there at the end of January and early February, and we’re already heading back in March. It’s just that good. We’ve stayed here many times, and during this visit, we ran into several familiar faces—other repeat guests who clearly can’t get enough of this place either. There were also some younger couples discovering this hidden gem for the first time.
We keep coming back year after year because of the beauty of La Casa and the incredible staff. The property is stunning, and our room, with its view of the bay and those gorgeous sunsets, was perfect—just like always. But what makes La Casa so special is the people. Many of the same wonderful staff who welcomed us on our very first visit (25 years ago!) were still there to greet us like family.
It all starts with Isabel at the airport, who fills you in on what’s new and exciting at the property. Then there’s Teresa, who greets you with that warm smile and makes you feel like you’ve come “home.” She checked in with us often to make sure everything was just right. Laura was equally wonderful—so kind and helpful, offering tips on where to go (and where to avoid) and even helping us figure out a delivery to the hotel.
The restaurant? Always excellent. The fish dishes were fresh and delicious every time. Pavel ensured we were well cared for at dinner and went out of his way to accommodate our dietary requests. Tony, Jared, and Valentino were friendly and attentive throughout our stay—such a great team.
For breakfast and lunch, Irving was our go-to. He’s amazing—friendly, thoughtful, and full of great recommendations, especially when it came to dinner options and local fish preparations. Eloin, Nicholas, and Fredi, who helped out at breakfast and lunch, were equally wonderful—earnest, friendly, and always happy to help.
La Casa is a truly special place, and the people there make it feel like a second home. We can’t wait to be back.
Stayed here a week and it was really something else. Staff were kind and attentive, great mezcalitas and mojitos brought to us in the pools, huge room restocked daily with water and soda and beer (included). The restaurant was great too--the fresh fish ranged from very good to excellent, the salsa prepared tableside was maybe the best I've ever had, and the views are superlative.
