Great hotel great location !
Pros:

Wonderful hotel! We came to Sante Fe to visit family and stayed at the Inn of the Governors it was a great location 2 blocks from the Plaza. Very walkable. The staff at the hotel were vey friendly and knowledgeable. The complimentary breakfast wasn’t an ordinary hotel breakfast. You had a choice of several things and you didn’t have to get them yourself. The pool area was lovely and inviting-the pool is heated.
The only downside is the parking- if you have an oversized vehicle it’s tough fitting into a space but it is free!
Would highly recommend this property for your stay in Sante Fe!

Nice stay, small issues
Pros:

This was the nicest stay during our New Mexico trip. The facilities are nice, clean, and comfortable. They have a free happy hour with sherry and biscochitos. The free breakfast is prepared, not buffet. The room and beds were great. If you book direct they give you a credit at the on-site restaurant. Location is close to a lot of shops and restaurants and the Georgia O’Keefe museum.

There were a couple of problems with the room. There’s very few outlets, mostly because it’s an older building. I had to move a table over to my bedside so my CPAP could be plugged in. More of an inconvenience, but be aware. The wifi was also pretty inconsistent. They only offer housekeeping by request, which is fine, but then they left the housekeeping carts in the hallway all day. The bigger problem was she shower. It would quickly jump from hot to cold without the handle moving. The pressure changed constantly as well.

Overall it was a nice place to stay, but they really need to fix the water issue for sure.

Wonderful Inn
Pros:

We stayed at Inn Of The Governors in Santa Fe for one night. There were 3 in our party. We had a wonderful time! The room was clean and cute. The lobby was welcoming. The 4pm sherry/tea/hot chocolate and cookie hour in the lobby was fun. The made to order breakfast (included with room) was good and the staff was great. We would definitely stay again!

Pros:

Location is great & feels homey

Location, amenities, history, and welcoming
Pros:

We did a lot of research before selecting Inn of the Governors for a 3 night visit to Santa Fe and it definitely paid off. First off, you can't beat being in walking distance of everything in the old town and having a reserved parking space included in your room cost. (We saw how difficult parking can be in Santa Fe). The room rate also includes a complimentary sherry and biscuits hour where you can get dry, sweet, or mix of the two. Challenge there is making sure you are back from your outing for the day between 4-5 but certainly worth it. The hotel is very tastefully and historically decorated with lots of art and native american baskets along the hallways and in the rooms. We chose a room with a Kiva fireplace which was a lot of fun. They set the fire up for you initially and have some extra wood in the room but they have plenty more in a stacked area in the hallway if you want to keep your fire going longer. Do make sure you stay with the fire if you start one. This is a historic inn and the southwest is very at risk for fires. Finally have to rave about the mountain breakfast. Its cooked to order so dont expect to pop in, eat and run...and its awesome, particularly the heuvos rancheros and the breakfast tacos...and the coffee is a delicious dark roast. Finally, if you book directly with the property you get a $15 dollar a day credit which works perfectly for getting a craft margarita or even a dinner entree that you can bring up to your room.

Anniversary at Inn of the Governors
Pros:

Once again, Inn of the Governors did not disappoint. We returned to SF 25 years later to celebrate our anniversary. Everything was perfect and the staff just like old friends. We've been to SF at least twice a year for years. The very best place in Santa Fe!
