Best Hotel Experience!
Pros:

This wonderful hotel came highly recommended by longtime visitors. Still, my experience exceeded all expectations.
The inn is perfectly located, walking distance to most everything. Yet it is amazingly quiet. It is also immaculate and beautifully landscaped, with colorful blooms everywhere.
My room was large and smartly furnished in true Southwestern style with artful flourishes.
My browser is not offering the detailed ratings area, but this inn is a 5 on all counts -- location, service, rooms, cleanliness, value, and sleep quality.
On sleep quality -- and service -- a far higher rating is warranted. My room's AC could be turned off and the windows opened for cool night air. Plus, the blackout shades worked perfectly. Staff members (front desk, parking attendant, restaurant servers, even the hotel manager) were all welcoming and gracious.
The food was fresh and flavorful -- and plentiful (breakfast & lunch/dinner). It's no exaggeration to claim that the restaurant makes the best burgers. And the swimming pool was sparkling -- a refreshing break on hot days.
The inn's daily afternoon receptions were a chance to mingle with other guests, many of them repeat visitors for decades. It was great fun to learn of their Santa Fe adventures through the years and their unwavering love of Inn of the Governors.
As a frequent traveler, the inn's water-saving stance on room cleaning (by request only) was a wonderful plus. Here's hoping more states adopt this.
I so look forward to being a return visitor at this inn next summer.

Pros:

Great location, nice breakfasts.

Cons:

Maid service on request only. Bins weren’t emptied and room wasn’t cleaned after 4 nights, as service list said would happen. By the end of our stay (5 nights) we felt that the hotel was not offering good value because of the lack of any cleaning of rooms. We understand the need to use same towels due to water shortages, but surely this doesn’t justify no cleaning at all.

comprehenive review
Pros:

a converted motel with a funky layout
likely one of the originators (?) of the ‘concept hotel’ which seems to specialize in these transformations
parking is easy
the pool was shutdown for an emergency repair
be sure to reiterate each morning that you want your room serviced
the rooms are reasonably comfortable
but the basic layout hasn’t changed - esp noticeable in the bathroom : no fan, old fashioned bath/shower, amenities standard does have grab bar
i do wish they’d offer bottled water in the room in lieu of trying to sell you a water bottle
we had dinner one night in the bar/restaurant but unfortunately it disagreed with me
easy walks to most central places incl the Plaza

but how to say this nicely?
it seems to attract an older retired crowd….( I am 70. so ha ga)
all in all a nice comfortable place to hang your hat

Cute, clean, convenient
Pros:

We didn’t realize when booking that it was more of a motel-style property, but we ended up really enjoying our stay! The location was great and within walking distance of so many things, which we really loved. The room was clean, and the pool was really nice!

The only downside was the shower—the water pressure was very low, so it wasn’t the best. Other than that, the staff was super friendly and welcoming, and overall we had a great experience.

Cons:

The shower could have been better.

Emplacement idéal pour visiter le centre ville.
Pros:

l'emplacement très proche du centre ville. La place de parking à l'hôtel.

Cons:

le petit-déjeuner servi à table.
la baignoire/douche fixe avec rideau de douche,
Le bruit (notre chambre donnait sur un carrefour très bruyant la nuit)

Great staff, rooms very nice, close to the Plaza area. Would definitely stay there again.
Pros:

Staff was friendly and helpful when we had to check out early. Food at the restaurant for lunch was very good.

Cons:

The weather was hot, and in the afternoon the lobby area was very hot, seemingly no air conditioning for the hot summer days.
