Nothing,....DO NOT STAY HERE...
Outside is grubby,pretty much a building site round the back, also rubbish lying around.
Had to pay an extra £10 at check in to park my car..
Only 1 member of staff on...
No running water from cold tap in bathroom..
Went to open the only window in my bedroom for fresh air,I couldn't believe it opened into the room next door,which was still being built,...
Went for a swim,which is why I booked the room after driving down from Edinburgh..., water stains all over the ceiling ,decided I would get changed get a drink at the bar and order food..no draft beers,cans or wine only ,I decided to find somhere else to eat.
I needed to be out by7am for work so could not get breakfast as it didn't start until 7.30..no options.
The list can go on
This hotel surprised me, I was expecting the standard single room with a king single bed and best and room that was just big enough to fit everything in it but instead I got quite a large room with a large bed that was very comfortable, the staff were friendly and it was an easy walk to all the majour attractions.
Very nit-picky complaint but the shower curtain when it gets wet clings to your skin which was annoying but I guess if this is my only real complain that I also kind of a compliment
Veldig god frokost. Rolig område. Gåavstand fra sentrum. Vi hadde totalt 6 rom, og på mitt rom var det veldig bra trykk i dusjen. Hotellet hadde en autentisk, historisk stil. Grei parkeringsplass.

Das Zimmer hatte Charme. Topp Bad. Sogar ein Schwimmbad vorhanden.
Der Parkplatz macht keinen vertrauensvollen Eindruck.
Very friendly staff and rooms were clean
Very dated and smelt when you went in.
The first thing that attracted me was the location, the building is also full of character and history. The pool was a fantastic bonus too. The staff was very helpful and personable. When I got there I got a free upgrade on my room which was a lovely surprise. The room was spacious and the bed was super comfortable.
The gym was small but well equipped, it was just too hot and could have done with some air conditioning.
The receptionist showed me to my room and told me where smoking area and where the hot drinks were but also made sure that I knew which key was for the front door and the room door.

Considering the hotel was on a main road, it was a relatively quiet situation and convenient fir getting into York centre.
Swimming pool is a bonus.
Room was spacious, as was bathroom.
I apparently had an upgrade too.
The room decor was a little dreary, as the room was quite dark too. The edges of the bed were frayed. A valance would have hidden this.

Great location, and away from direct traffic, but still close enough city to centre. Kettle in room, tea & coffee help yourself , tv, ironing board is also there for use . Great friendly staff
A bit dated and maybe a bit tlc all in all comfortable and clean.
Excellent staff. Lovely breakfast. Made use of the small gym room.
Rooms got pretty warm from around 7am onwards so had to make use of the portable fans that had been left in the well equipped room.
Location. Good quality room. Big bathroom. Decent breakfast. Very friendly as staff.
Many weeds at front of the building gives a poor view of the hotel. I was told that the maintenance man was on holidays.
